are there any baby sign dvds/books with nursing in them?!

alright not sure if this is the best place to ask but it seemed relevant.... :
DD and I took a baby sign class and shes really catching on, she signed milk yesterday after 4 weeks of doing it! That made me really excited so I wanted to get some books for her so we could practice. The books at the bookstore only had a bottle as the picture for milk, so we passed on them. A LLL friend of mine told me she got the baby einstein signing DVD for her son and he really liked it, so in a fleeting moment of insanity, I bought the stupid thing for my DD too. I'm not keen on letting babies watch TV, but I figured I'd watch it and do the signs with her, and she could watch it occasionally.....until I watched it. It was done pretty well, but when they did the sign for milk they only showed adults drinking from cups with milk, and two different babies (or one baby and one doll) drinking from bottles. It also had a baby with a bottle in another intro clip (I think to playtime signs?) It wouldn't be a big deal to me if it showed bottles AND nursing, as we have friends who bottle feed, so DD will eventually comprehend that some babies don't nurse, but t doesn't show a mom nursing anywhere on the video, and that bugs me! DH thinks I'm overreacting....I emailed the customer service at babyeinstein.com and asked for a refund (since target does not take back opened DVDs). So theres my rant, but heres my ? to you, do any moms who do signs know of any books or movies that DO show nursing when teaching "milk"? I watch signing times on TVwhile shes napping to learn new signs to do with her, but they haven't shown "milk" yet on there. I saw signing times has a baby series too, but now I'm afraid to go waste more money...
am I overreacting? the rest of the DVD is ok, making the signs easy to learn, etc.

The Signing Time Baby video gives the signs for "milk" and "drink" and all the kids are shown drinking out of sippies. There might be a cartoon of a bottle, but no actual sign for bottle and no small babies using bottles, if I remember correctly.

I just got my sign2me Sign With Your Baby kit in (I bought getting started Flash cards and the starter kit - book, DVD & lamanated chart)
The flash cards show both the bottle and nursing for the milk sign and the DVD when discussing the milk sign concentrates on nursing and only mentions that the sign is also used when using a bottle. I did see a bottle shown at the very beginning of the DVD though.

These are more for teaching the parents how to use and start introducing signs though.

I'm pretty sure that they show a bottle on Signing Times, I'll have to check.

I made up my own sign for nursing. At the time I just didn't want the association with milking a cow that the milk sign provoked.

I'd love to know if there is a seperate sign for breastfeeding/nursing.

I just ordered baby signing time on dvd from their website. They show one clip of a baby nursing. The mom is in a rocker. The narrorator says something like "That baby is having mommy's milk" (or something like that) among the other images of milk like milk in the bottle/sippy/carton, etc.

The signing time show on tv however... I record that every week and I've never seen a mommy/baby nursing on that.

I was happy the baby signing time video showed at least one image of a nursing baby. I love that show... it's so catchy and fun. I think dh and i have abandoned the thought of ds learning and we are learning for ourselves now! I like to have tv on when I'm working around the house so I'll put that on as I'm not a fan of daytime soaps or talk shows until Oprah comes on.

"The baby is drinking mommy's milk." Of course, you've gotta take it on faith because you basically see back of a baby's head and a lot of blanket, but it's certainly something.

The diaper montage also has one baby in a tie-dyed AIO.

Why yes, yes my little niece *did* ask to see that dvd 4 times in a row when I was visiting once. However did you guess?

The Sign with your Baby DVD (Dr. Joseph Garcia) has nursing in it. It also has this montage (when introducing the concept of pain) with all these babies running into things and falling over. I feel like such a jerk, but I laugh every time!:

We get our signs online. There are two ASL signs for breastfeeding. One is breast + nourishment, which we rarely use. I prefer the more vulgar "suck boob" sign with ds. I can do it with one hand. When he's older, I'll teach him the polite term for in public.
