So I'm up watching America's Funniest Videos (well, kind of).

They are doing this section on babies.

There is a baby (apparently a boy) in a jumperoo.

The voice over says "Bad news (insert a name)...the doctor called. They have to do the circumcision again." And the baby makes this very startled face (eyes wide, eyebrows raised, mouth agape).


That's just NOT funny!!!

I saw that episode to : I was in the kitchen and started ranting. I have no idea if this one was a re run or what but ugggh I am so tired of circ. being made to sound ok.

It shows how ridiculously ingrained in our culture circumcision is - with the assumption that if the baby's a boy he must be circ'd. : No wonder so many parents are able to completely ignore reality and pretend that cutting a baby is ok.
