Welcome to MDC! And congrats on your pregnancy! I think I was just about in the same place as you at this time last year (I got pregnant February 21st). My baby is now 4.5 months old and, of course, he's a total joy.

We are in Chicago, or Forest Park, rather. We are TTC. This is our 1st cycle. We are deep into the roller coaster of the tww and going a little batty. Congrats on your good news!

We're from Chicagoland as well, northwest Indiana actually. Different situation from the others though. I'm married to my husband, but we have a polyamorous relationship. Just us and our 2yo right now though, the relationship we were both in ended in February.

We're not so much parents yet, but we're starting to ttc this summer, and are hoping for a spring '08 baby. We're in the city (Edgewater). I would definitely be open to getting together with same sex parents or wanna-be parents. I'm pretty new to the city and though I have a few friends now, some of them do not seem to want to be around children at all, so I will need to widen that circle somewhat in the next year....

Hi There- We're also in the Chicago area (Berwyn/oak park). We have a preschooler Dd, and I was once involved in Rainbow Families out here-which is very active. There is a little Oak Park playgroup, that is mostly MDC mamas and very crunchy/ap (we're the only two mama family in the group). I'd love to meet some of Y'all if there's a child friendly get togeher at some point-I'm mostly a SAHM.
