Anyone try Chinese herbs?

I'm waiting to start another cycle of Clomid after a miscarriage last month and decided to give Chinese herbs a try since I'm technically not on any fertility drugs during this time.

My acupuncturist put me on Six Flavor Tea (Liu Wei Di Huang Wan) and Free & Easy Wanderer (Xiao Yao Wan), both are common herbs for fertility issues.

Has anyone ever tried these or any other Chinese herbs? I'm eager to see if they make a difference in my egg quality.

I did chinese herbs before both our successful IVF cycles. I was told by the lab both times that my eggs looked great, and I did have great egg production (17 total the last cycle, at age 38, 12 of which were mature).

Honestly, I don't know if the herbs really helped, as I really didn't notice much difference in my cycles, etc., but my acupuncturist is a great believer in them, and I figured since we had to go IVF, why not do everything possible to make it work.

Did you take the herbs along with everything else you were taking (vitamins/folic acid etc.). I'm going to be starting acupuncture next month and was also wondering how expensive the herbs are that they recommend?? I'm sure the whole process can get pretty pricey!!! It is probably cheap compared to IVF though. : TIA

Yes, I took the herbs in addition to my vitamins, and a healthy diet.

They ran around $60 per month, so it wasn't too bad.
