Prodromal Labor starting...

I started having some very low pulling contractions real early Tues morning. Then I was all sore and achey yesterday, on top of spilling cloudy, swirly fluid that wasn't urine into the toilet around 11:30a.

This being the fourth time I've labored like this, I knew it's just the beginning of the end and didn't get too excited. Dh, however, brought up the birth tub before I was out of the bathroom! And I know my mw (who dh FORCED me to call!) thought I was in denial!

I went in to be checked and my external os was 3cm and the internal was 1cm - and my cervix was very, very soft. With my last three kids, I was 3-4cm by 37w, so I'm right on track with how things happened with my previous labors, which makes me happy because I can *probably* expect things to continue the same way.

Anyway, I'm officially in Prodromal Labor Land! (But expecting fully to go close to my due date!)

to Prodromal Land!! It is the *most* exciting place to be! (note my sarcasm). I've been visiting here for, oh, almost 4 freaking weeks. I did get excited this a.m. when I woke up to some spotting and have been cramping with pressure that's lasted all day. I'm just getting closer and closer to 'the day'.

Just think, the full moon's just around the corner. I wonder how many more of us will be visiting this wonderful place, or actually having their babies?

Yes, I am...the 24th, to be exact. I really am hoping to hang on until then, too. But then I wonder if I can...

I'm pretty much ready - well, in that I have everything I need. Except more time! I need to get my pictures done, and dye baby clothes, and relax! I've been so stressed this whole pregnancy (family stuff, moving, financial strains, etc.) and everything is supposed to be OVER by the end of next week, so I still want those last few weeks to sit back and enjoy the end of my pregnancy - it'll probably be my last one!
