It's very long. And today is only 5 DPO. I'm testing starting on Thursday.
Damn. Just when I think I've got all the abbreviations figured out....WAM here are another few to decipher!
2ww = what?
DPO = what? Edit: Oh! Something about ovulation, right?! Days passed ovulation? Days post ovulation?
Yeah, sorry I'm such a nerd.
Naw, we're geeks, those of us who have picked up all this argot.
2ww = two week wait, as in, between O & insemination and bleeding and/or pregnancy test
DPO = Yup, Days Post Ovulation
Here are a few more that I will have a use for soon:
BFP - Big F-rhymes-with-truck Positive
BFN - Big F-rhymes-with-truck Negative (pregnancy tests)
OPK - ovulation predictor kits
AI - alternative insemination
BBT - basal body temperature
TCOYF - Taking Charge of your Fertility (AKA - The Fertility Bible)
CM - Cervical Mucus
CF - Cervical Fluid (Same thing as CM, just for those who don't like the word mucus. I love the word mucus!)
RE - Reproductive Endocrinologist
KD - Known Donor
Um....I think that's all I can think of right now, HTH! (hope that helps!)
This is your brain during the 2WW:
I also told myself I would not be like those other people with no patience, who were so used to get everything in an instant that they couldn't wait a measely two weeks to find out if they were pregnant, blah, blah, blah...I was so WRONG. I think everyone starts out with good intentions, but then it gets to the point, especially in week two (imho) that you wish you just knew so you could get excited or move on. Good for you for eating the sushi. We have a friend who is recently pregnant and the reason she even bought a p test was because her hangover from the night before was so close to morning sickness that she wanted to make sure she wasn't pregnant. Not that I'm saying you should go get liquored up, but make sure you do things this week that make you happy.
Just letting you know I'm thinking of you in the 2ww hell. I agree do things that make you happy. Please don't do what I did-I obsessed over every symptom. Queziness is a good sign though!
