We started homeschooling our ds (13) and have been hs our daughter for 1 year. (She's 4.) The reason we do it is because we travel A LOT. At least one or two weeks out of the month, we're out of town. I wonder if anyone has this experience? We are fortunate to travel around the US, so it's a nice time for everyone.

I'm kind of confused because 1) we can't really commit to any sort of dance, music, or other lessons the kids want, 2) we can't really stay long enough to participate too much with the local hs groups, and 3) my ds often misses church youth activities because we are gone.

Would you suggest staying put for a while? The travel is very educational and has been rewarding but as my ds gets older, I wonder if it would be best to stay home? I know at his age, socialization is a must.

Thanks for any input!
