Im dilating!!

Yea same here, I actually have the same due date as you... Last friday I was 1 cm... 2morrrow when I got in for my check up I hope to have made some progress...

yeah, i found out monday that i am 50% and 2 cm. not that it means much, but still have three weeks to go on this baby. my sister was 0cm dilated the day before her little one was born. my mw kept saying, this means nothing. you could still be late. ah, well. i like the feeling of impending labor!

I don't want to put too much of a damper on your excitement, but I've been effaced and 2cm+ dilated for a couple of weeks. MW and back up OB didn't think I'd make my due date and it's coming up next week. My mom was 7 cm dilated with my younger sister for 2 weeks before giving birth. Babies come on the their own schedule and that could be tomorrow or in a few weeks. I'm definitely ready to not be pregnant, but am trying to be patient.

Yeah, not to be a party pooper, but I am 6 cm right now. have been for a while....:

With ds1 I was 7 cm before going to labor, and he was a few days past my edd.

But no matter whether you are early or on time, or late --your body IS getting ready and that's cool!

Progress is always good. I think I am somewhat dilated but no hands are going up there until my GBS test. I am trying to decide if I even want to know as it isn't terribly indicative. Part of me is curious though.

I was 2cm dilated on Wed, and "very soft"
My edd is 4/21, and I've been having lots of contractions, though very irregular. I'm hoping that this doesn't go on TOO much longer, though I know it could still be weeks.
It's nice to know that *something* is going on down there though. lol

I'm at 3 cm and 80% effaced.

I find out Monday at my first internal exam if anything is going on. With my last pregnancy, I was not at all dilated or effaced at 9 days past my EDD. So 2 cm sounds pretty darn good to me!

i'm at 3, maybe a little softer and stretchier today, but it's been a pretty solid 3 for a week or two. i thought last night could be it--the bh contractions were every 15 minutes for a couple of hours, and some of them were pretty intense--but no. could be tonight, could be two more weeks! ah, the letting-go of late pregnancy. whee!

I think the "net" must be my bones, and they feel like they are about to break into teeny tiny peices. When I had about 5 hours of labor the other night (wee hours of Thursday morn) I was stretching almost to 8 cm, but he kept popping his head back up, and I would go right back to 6 or so. I have had loads of contrax since then so I may even be more. But yeah, 6 cm and +2 station? I tried to check myself and I could feel his head like, bulging out of me...: insane.

But this isn't really new to me, I was 7 cm before beginning labor with ds1. and he was at +1 I think as well.

Well, I am still a 0. But I am still holding onto the notion that this babe will be prompted by Mon. Full moon and show next week some time!!! Ah the power of positive thought!

Yep! My body is doing stuff, too! The other night, I checked myself in the shower and it felt like I was 3-4 cm dilated, and possibly 50% effaced? I'm not as good at judging effacement yet...but it seemed like I had barely NO lip left to my cervix! I dunno...I'm just saying 50% because it seems like I am *at least* that far along. Oh, and it was so cool! I could feel the baby's head!

Hehe, I KNOW it doesnt necesarily mean anything, I walked around dilated for weeks with my last one and he came late. However, I dont normally have contractions AT ALL prior to labor starting so Im hoping he comes early, my first two did (by early, I just mean prior to the 40 week EDD). Anyway, two weeks ago I was dilated one fingertip and I thought eh so what? So the week after that I declined the exam but later started losing my plug so I was curious this time. The baby was still up high though so I didnt think I was going into labour soon, but maybe next week, ya know? Well, yesterday I had the first contraction that felt serious, I mean OW and I looked at my 15yr old as we were in out running errands and was thinking, oh man, he may have to drive to the hospital! And today, I swear he has dropped, he sure feels lower anyway. Of course, that still doesnt mean anything except that I am getting ready and maybe the full moon will work in my favour! I've never been dilated much more than two or three cm before going into active labor. Wow, I cant imagine walking around at six or seven! Although Im all for my body doing the work in little spurts ahead of time!!
