Last night, I had the strangest dream. I was in a hospital bed, having just had a C-section and having a boy. STBX was apparently the father. There was a Vietnamese woman sitting in the chair next to me which I knew to be STBX’s mother (odd because STBX is as white as they come and I knew his mom before she died, and this wasn’t her!). Also, for some reason, I knew she was Jewish. I told her that we wouldn’t be doing the brit milah. She looked shocked and asked why. I made a snarky comment I won’t repeat (don’t want to offend any mamas who circ for religious reasons). I told her I’d be ok with raising the kids Jewish and that I'd agree to a brit shalom and explained what that was, then I told her that no major medical organization in the world recommends circ. She was really surprised at that and agreed that a brit shalom was a good idea.

I hope I’m allowed to post this, since it mentions religious circ but does not debate it. I just thought it was funny – I am the farthest thing from Jewish you can get, I’m certainly not going to be having any more kids with STBX, and he’s not Vietnamese. It just cracks me up that all these totally random elements came together in an anti-circ dream! Anybody else have weird dreams about convincing people not to circ?
