To some of you this may seem farfetched but...Dh and I are considering asking my father and his wife to be the legal guardians of our son if we were to both die. But my father strongly believes in circumcision. Now, if by some chance, we did die and ds went to them, I wonder if my father would try to get him circumcised? (Our son is 4 mo old) I am going to see if there is something I can put in the legal papers to forbid that from happening, because that would be awful. Just thought I'd put that out there!

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

We have it in our will that our ds's are not to be circumcised without the recomendation of an intact-friendly pediatrician. I think it is important to protect our sons- especially if you think this may happen. I have read of cases where a child was circumcised at a later date due to these types of situations, and I feel it is better to be safe than sorry, kwim?

I'd choose someone else. If you can't trust them, then they aren't suitable guardians.

I'd find someone else, too. If your dad is really that strongly pro-circ, and you can't convince him otherwise, then your son would be at risk. It is far too easy in this country to find a doctor who will agree to circ an older boy -- happens all the time.

: Not to long ago I came across a post somewere on the net were the gaurdians of a 7yo boy got custody of him and within a week had him circed even tho he cried and begged them not to do it. The parents of this boy wanted him left intact and told them as much but they decided it was better than he match there ds.
just thinking about that story makes me feel sick and so angry. So if it were me no way is anyone getting my son who would even think about hurting him like that.
