the only con to an intact child is that you might encounter an ignorant doctor or medical professional and need to protect your son from unnecessary early retraction, misdiagnosis, .... etc.

Oh, yeah, and as pp'er mentioned, ignorant comments from others.

Agreed. This is the major con. Most medical professionals have so little experiences with normal penises, that the can mis-handle and mis-diagnose, causing damage. But, if you tell medical professionals to keep their hands off, then there is no more issue.

There are no cons. Why does it matter anyway, leave his penis alone. It does not belong to you.

I dont understand why this is an issue. You are his mother and your job is to protect him. Right now you need to protect him from his own father. You should put your son first and LEAVE your husband before you let him abuse your child.

I have 3 intact boys and I haven't noticed any cons yet. I think it's all pros.

I don't consider others being idiots and making comments or giving pour advise to be a con to circ (though I know that everyone wasn't suggestion that as a reason to have it done). It actually makes me feel good when someone makes an idiotic comment then I can tell them why that comment is so wrong. Even if that person isn't listening, someone near by may be.
