Nursing Mamas TTC in April - Page 3

Hello all,
I'm new to this board. I am 30/f and still nursing my 12 mos old DS. We are currently TTC but AF has gone MIA. I had an unexpected pregnancy in 12/06 which turned out to be ectopic and I've had only one AF since then. Do any of you have experience with getting your AF back and then it disappearing again? I'm trying to decrease the amount that DS nurses to 3 times per day (he is doing more like 5 times right now).

BLAH! I am sick again. : yuck yuck yuck. Poor ds is watching a lot of kids movies yesterday and today. I hate resorting to that but I just have no energy to do anything productive with him. I am really starting to think I am crazy for wanting another one right now. I am just too tired and frequently sick because of the lack of sleep I get already. At least I am still a few days away from O so hopefully all will be well when the eggie arrives.

Sorry to be all about me today. I just need to go and lay down again. :

I'm wondering too and asked almost the same question , but I'm guessing since no response, no one's never experienced it before. I will let you know if my AF shows up, I'm due next week so we'll see. My DD has been nursing like crazy around the clock cuz she's teething:

I don't know if I would say that AF comes and goes, but my cycles sure are long and irregular. Anywhere from 28 to 45 days long. Sharon, nursing 5x a day is pretty good at his age. My 14 month old nurses approximately 50000x a day. Well, that's what it feels like anyway. I heard that night nursing is what affects fertility the most and Alden nurses a ton at night.

Maureen-I am SO excited that you are Oing earlier this month!! YEAH! : I hope you are getting that peak!!

jenanglecat-I'm sorry AF has found you but I'm glad something is finally happening!!

Cheryl-I hope you feel better soon! Don't worry about the TV if that is what it takes to mame through the day. A few days of that aren't going to impact him long term.

Amanda-:

Sharon-Welcome! 5 times a day is nothing! My 17 month dd is nursing anywhere from 7-10 times a day still!!

hannybanany-Thanks for responding to the OPK question!

1babysmom-The only things i know of are light therapy stuff and vitex. i posted about vitex last month, sorry I don't have time to find it right now but you could check my posts for it. The light therapy is basically reporducing the moon's light in your sleeping room. I haven't done this because I like to have some light to see dd in the night but I've read good things.

Liz-I don't know for sure but the light and vitex may help you too.

Heather-Where do you live that DH gets a year off!?!?! That is awsome! I hope your fertility returns soon for you!

ellymay-I hope your temp is nice and high in the AM!

Marie-Geez, don't people know when they aren't wanted! That is inconvient timing!

Sorry for everyone I left out, DD just had a dirty diaper so I've got to go!

Ok quick ? I had tons of ferns this afternoon after not eating or drinking anything for a couple hrs I tested but yet my opt was still neg what is up with that? I have all the symptoms of O except that these stupid opt I got from China (which btw was a misadvertisment on ebay they didn't say that is where they were coming from ) could they just be wrong? I mean I have every other sign of o.

Nothing terribly new to update from here. I'm on cd 14 with nothing expected for about another week. I just wanted to commiserate with all the long cycle mamas! I've had one cycle of 29 days, otherwise it's been in the 40-46 day range.
It is sort of relieving to hear that many of you experience really long cycles. I am currently on CD 43 with no sign of ovulation in sight! It is excrutiating TTC with a cycle this wacky. Do most of you find that you O every cycle? I'm sort of thinking that I'm not going to O at this point.

I'm not oing at all My last cycle was 52 days and this one so far is cd 38 with nothing in sight but now i'm just hoping that it stays away till after the 17th so my docs can get everything strait.

Well, I O'd for the first time at 10 months PP on CD 65, and then I O'd again the next cycle on CD 73...so I'm expecting to keep O'ing, just VERY late in the game. I agree...it is excruciating TTC this way. I mean, how in the world are you supposed to know when the heck to BD for "the purpose?" By the time I'm finally O'ing, it's not even fun anymore.

just checking in........we moved over the weekend and i am WIPED! no af yet, haven't tested in a week but i'm sure i'm not pg.

could i be moved to waiting for af? is there such a category?

i'm on cd 49. i did conceive my dd on a 56 day cycle though!\

i will test in two days and if BFN, i will be inducing af with 6,000 mg vit c.
Well you can move me back to waiting to O. Af hasn't started but tested this morning and BFN I know my body and I just know I'm not PG. I just don't get it...I had all the symptoms of Oing. My DH and I thought we timed it just right so WHY aren't we PG???? I feel like we've been trying 4-ever, even though it's only been a couple of months: I did test kinda early so I will try again next week, but I'm sure I will be wasting a test....Oh well, You know how that goes ladies

I soooo know that feeling. Unfortunately.

to all you long cyclers. I have short cycles and short lp so my cycles only last on average of 25 to 28 days. My dh would probably prefer longer cycles but they would drive me :

I went to bed last night at 6 pm (with ds) and didn't "officially" get up until after 9 this morning. DS was up and asking for a pb sandwich at 3:30 am though. Dh was not too excited to get up to get him one but he did. So I am feeling a little better but still not great. Hoping to get all better in the next couple of days to start the bding marathon just in time!

zulupetalz- there are some cycles where I'm sure I've o'd and some where I"m pretty sure I didn't. I guess everything is just all out of whack.

susanrc- I know how you feel. Even though it's only been a few months for us too. I thought we'd get pregnant on the first try like with my son. I just feel like if I know I'm having sex when I'm ovulating and I know it's possible to get pregnant then why the heck am I not pregnant? Hope you have better luck soon.

The long cycles really do suck. It's impossible to predict when I'm about to ovulate and having sex every other day from CD 14 until when I finally get my period 30 days later gets old. Plus I'm never even sure exaclty when to test. le sigh. We're still trying but I don't think I've o'd yet. Occasionally getting ewcm. Just waiting like lots of you at this point.
