Nursing Mamas TTC in April - Page 5

Janet- I'm so sorry!

Wait a minute...most of you long cycle people are way luckier than me! Am I the only one here dealing with 70+ (last was 87 days!!) day cycles? And mine have gotten longer, not shorter. Poo...

DD is actually nursing less at nights now, though, so hoping it makes a difference!! PLEASE let it make a difference!! Does anyone know the actual timeframe where nursing at night has the most effect? (related to hormone release) I had heard it once, but forgot... This is the first cycle that she's been nursing less from the start, so hoping it brings up my O date!! Last cycle it wasn't until right around when I O'd that she started nursing less (we're working on our nighttime's lately...tired mama!!).

Okay, I'm going to jump in here because I do stalk this thread on a regular basis. I guess you could put me in waiting to be ready. My DS turned 2 in Feb. and I also have a 6-year old DD. DH and I are both 37 and we had some issues getting pregnant as I have PCOS.
I would like to know if anyone else has an ambivalent DH when it comes to TTC? DH knows I would like another baby and last month was a BD fest with no BC. With the nursing, my body tried to O twice, before finally getting it done, but BD was right on track to where it could have happened. When AF arrived, a couple days before I thought it would, DH was like he had won the lottery and dodged the bullet. He now has told me he's not going to engage in "risky" behavior again. I can't help but feel gyped, like I missed my one chance for number three. Anyone else have a DH like mine? I guess time will tell if he holds strong to his plan or not.
Well, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Good luck nursing mamas, maybe I'll be able to more "officially" join you soon.
Pamela

No kidding! I was on the verge of yelling "GO HOME, I NEED TO HAVE SEX!" But, as of 10 this AM they're ALL gone! So, now, on to some serious TTCing!

Change request: My DD is 12 months, not 8. (I'm under "Waiting to O.") Thanks! :

1babysmom,
You are not alone. I am on day 46 right now and I haven't O'd yet.

Maureen- Thanks, I hope we both get pregnant this cycle, EWCM be damned!

1baby'smom- Sorry, that is definately worse. I know how frustarting these long cycles are so I can only imagine how frustrating those really long cycles are!

Socialworkmamma- That really stinks. I hope you two can come to a happy agreement and he can make up his darn mind! And here is another one because getting AF when you don't want her is really hard, let alone someone you love rejoicing in it!!

Marie- I'm glad everyone is gone! Now....what to do with the kids! Also, I've found it easier to put month/year in for dc so you don't have to change it all the time.

: for all the REALLY long cycle mamas!

I know, LOL!
Well, I didn't remember joining this group before which is why I was surprised by the 8 month thing, ha ha! But 4 mos. ago I MUST have been here, though we weren't "actively" TTCing then...
Maybe I was a loudmouth lurker!

OK, Kinda freakin out right now....Just took a test and it came up VERY light Positive....2 lines were there, but I mean super, super light. I looked at my test a couple of days ago that I took and nothing. I know some of you out there or at least I think I've read b-4 have had faint line Positives....Do you think I'm PG or not?? I will definetely test in the morning cuz I know that is the highest hormone levels. Wish me luck everyone: I'll keep ya all posted and HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE

WOW, Susan! Sounds like a BFP to me! ANY line (no matter how faint) is generally considered a +! So...congrats are probably in order!

Janet

Thank you, sarahn, for looking at my chart. Very cool that you noticed the double plateau, and douple dip It really helps sometimes to have somebody else look at your chart! Ya, bummer about FF being right, though I don't think it's completely unheard to get a pos OPK and have your first high temp the next day - you probably just caught the tail end of your LH surge. Bummer about no ewcm I know how that goes. :

1babysmom - isn't it like 12-6am? My dd is finally, at 19 months starting to sleep that long at night w/out nursing! Sheesh, 70+ day cycles...

socialworkmamma - Hopefully you and dh will be on the same page soon.

susanrc - : Sounds like a pos! Update us in the morn!

5 dpo (?) here. Just waiting...

Baby dust everyone~~~~

I am still waiting on my thermal shift to confirm O which I am praying happens in the am.....

I'm checking in from vacation. Finally got a few minutes in front of a computer. DS and I have been having a great time. He and his cousin are so cute together. DS has been so busy that he has hardly been nursing, and at night he is sleeping better, although still nursing. Maybe the little break will kick my system in! It has been kinda nice having a break from temping and obsessing about ttc. My sis is also ttc so of course the topic has come up. She is making fun of me for bringing my fertility goddess with me! I KNOW there is no chance of getting pg while here since dh is thousands of miles away, but maybe my cycle will straighten out while I'm gone. kwim?

Welcome to all the new mamas! Good luck and baby dust to all.

Pazerific Congrats on 1st ppaf!!! That is very exciting. I hope she only comes around once!

SUsanrc : for your bfp!! Wouldn't a pos stick be a great addition to dh's easter basket?

My cm is the same every day. Sort of watery and lotiony. (sorry, tmi) It never, ever changes. In TCOYF Toni says that is typical of an anovulatory cycle - or is it only while waiting for 1st ppaf?

I believe the wee hours of the am between 2 and 6 nursing are what interfere the most with ttc.

Janet I am so, so, very sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my hearts prayers.

Bye for now, I will be back sometime next week.
Hey, if no one has volunteered to be thread keeper for next month I would be interested.

Just a flyby, DS turned 1 today and it's been a long day..... CD25 now I think, still no thermal shift and ugh I am getting discouraged. A ton more EWCM the past 2 days but I am feeling wiped out and not really up to DTD... but I know that if I don't DTD and then I get a temp jump in the am, I will be so annoyed with myself...

Happy Easter everyone!

jannyjo- i'm so sorry! i know what you're going through, i've lost three myself. time helps.

af came today~!!!!~ HOORAY! i feel so much better. although i think i'm actually having an early m/c again. i haven't tested in a few wekks, but have been feeling like i did last time i was pg.

i hugged a friend today and had a WEIRD cramp.....mucous plug came out an hour later. been having horrible wavy, labor-like cramps all day. took a 3 hour nap. I NEVER EVER take a nap.......oh well...........at least we start ttc again in a few days.

surromommy2be - thank you for starting a WAITING FOR AF category...... .......i feel honored!!!

Well needless to say I didn't sleep at all last night. Took another test this morning and got the same faint line. I'm not gonna get my hopes up until I get a bright pink line. I am out of test so I'm gonna go buy more today. Do you think I'm just takin it too soon? My cycles have been out of wack. last month 42 days around the same b-4 that. It's only been 26 days since last AF. So I'm just not sure. I feel bloated and nautious, but I think that is just my nerves. I may call my Doc tomorrow and ask them what I should do. I just hate this waiting game. Either I am or I'm not. I'll keep ya all posted. Keep me in your prayers. Thanks
