Another Clomid ???

I am sure that there are a million threads out here pertaining to Clomid, but I had a question. Doc gave me Provera 5mg for 12 days (the last two times i was on it, i had 10mg for 10 days) My last provera-induced cycle was March 13th, and just finished up pretty much about a week and a half ago. I know this is really bad, but I am waiting to take the 5mg of provera because next week we are traveling 6 hours home, and i need a day 3 blood draw and dont want to be not here for that. So, i am going to wait mid-week to start the provera, its better to be safe than sorry.

Here's my question.... I was given 100mg of Clomid to start (days 5-9) And I was wondering if there is anytime of the day to take it. I read somewhere on the internet 9pm, but does it matter, as long as you take it the same time everyday?

I am pretty sure I know the side effects, and all, and will be monitered closely, I just cant get a hold of my RE to ask him these questions. I was so happy to get the Clomid in the first place, (almost as good as getting a BFP ) I simply forgot to ask. I am pretty sure I will have more questions to follow. My dr just said to make sure I took it at the same time every day. I took it in the morning when I was taking my vitamins, and then took the estradiol at the same am time and then 12 hours later.

I took mine at night and it worked well for me in terms of side effects. I think as long as you take it at the same time each day it's fine.

I didn't know you needed to take it at the same time every day. I was taking 50 mg in the morning & at night.

thanks ladies for your replies. i am still waiting to take the provera so i dont wind up in jersey on day3 for bloodwork

i am really eager to take the clomid, and get things on the ball. we have been ttc for so long, and i really hope this works for us!

One more thing.... what is the difference between clomd days 3-7 and clomid days 5-9? i am supposed to do 5-9, but was wondering if anyone knew anything about that. thanks in advance

I took mine at around 10am just because that's when I would remember it. For me, the side effects were really cumulative and the time I took it had no effect on how I felt.

Doctors use different days depending on their own protocols really, and I don't think there's definitive evidence on which is better (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Most, I think, use 5-9 because I think the prevailing wisdom is that it produces fewer and better quality follicles. Earlier produces more follicles, but they might not all mature. I took it days 6-10 and had one big fat juicy follicle that cycle.
