Survey?

I have no idea how to do those fancy-shmancy surveys, so I'll just ask for feedback . . . I'm 39 weeks today and need to spend some serious time thinking about names for this baby boy!

We have a few names picked out and while we plan to wait to meet the new person before naming (our theory is they come named), I'd like to get some honest opinions about how we're leaning. Here's our list in no particular order:

Seamus Patrick
Bailey Charles
Emerson Bailey
Patrick Charles

His big brother's name is Liam and our last name starts with R . . . TIA!!!

Not pregnant- just popping in to see who's due this month! I LOVE naming babies! I would eliminate Seamus, because- as much as I LOVE that name, being in NC it might not be so easy to use there. KWIM? I passed on a lot of more difficult names, being in TX, because even my own name- Lindsay, gets mispronounced a LOT. I LOVE Emerson and Patrick. Bailey tends to be a bit more feminine these days. I like Emerson with Charles for a middle name, though. That would be my top vote Emerson Charles. Although, Patrick would "match" better with Liam.

Thanks Lila,

I think naming other babies is much easier than naming your own - at least for me! I keep going round and round . . .

~I have the same concern about pronunciation of Seamus - but wouldn't want to spell it Sheamus. We would probably call him Shea for short though. My other kids have latched onto this name while I keep getting more and more unsure . . .

~Bailey IS more feminine these days (haven't heard of a guy named Bailey since that show Party of Five ) - but it is also near and dear to my heart - it's my maiden name. My dad says not to name him Bailey, "It's a dog's name." Thanks dad!

~Oooooo Emerson Charles is nice, thanks! Emerson Bailey is like having two last names . . . before his last name!

~We're not concerned about matching names, in fact, I think we may try to be not so matchy matchy!

Great feedback - thanks for taking the time!

If I'm allowed to mix the options up a bit, I love Seamus Emerson.

Thanks Fairy4tmama, krismarie, and Marcimama - I'm feeling better about Seamus!

MonkeyPrincess - what a coincidence - I always wanted to name a son Charles as a first name but my supposed very dear friend STOLE IT and then acted like she didn't have a clue that I had always had my heart set on that name . . . I forgave her . . . her son is definitely a Charlie!

This is fun! Thanks all . . .

Yes, please, mix away! I like it . . . it may be a mouthful with my last name . . . but I'll keep it in mind.

Seamus!!! And Bailey is my second choice, especially since it's got so much meaning. How about Seamus Bailey?

Patrick and Emerson aren't as much my style.

Emerson

I also love Seamus I think it's a familiar enough name to most Americans now that people won't mispronounce it too often.

I don't know how to pronounce Seamus, but I really like Emerson Bailey. Sounds great
