How do I get rid of box elders naturally?

They seem to be laying eggs in the door by our living room and multiplying quickly. They don't bite but they crawl everywhere. It's very annoying.

Those things are the worst! I lived in a house that was infested, and the landlords ultimately had to cut down all the box elders. It helped, but it took a while longer to get rid of them.

Thanks Valkyrie9 for that info. I've just looked up the box elder tree to try and decide whether we have any of them on our property.

About 2-3 weeks ago I thoroughly vacuumed my living room and the door the box elders were entering the house through. Then I sprayed a dish detergent and hot water solution on any box elder I saw outside. Since then I have seen maybe 10 box elders which we have gotten rid of. I think they are gone!!! Hooray!!!
