Burt's Bees shampoo bar= do I need a rinse?

Do I have to use an acv/water rinse if I wash with the burt's bees baby bee shampoo bar? I can't stand the acv smell. I've been using a JR Liggett shampoo bar w/ an acv/water rinse. My hair is extremely thick and takes forever to dry, so I smell it for a long time. It smells like a pickle.

I've been using the BB baby bee bar for my boys and love it and would like to try it, but not if I still need to use a rinse. Thanks!

Any natural soap-based body or shampoo bar will need a rinse. If you can't stand ACV, you can try lemon or lime juice diluted in water. It may lighten your hair a little bit, but at least it won't smell like vinegar. You can also try other fruit vinegars or even balsamic if you have darker hair. They tend to smell better, but they're not as cheap as ACV.

I like a lemon rinse; I put a quarter inch into a 32oz bottle and that's plenty strong, softens the hair nicely but it doesn't seem to lighten my hair.

Thank you! I have red wine vinegar, I could try that. I did use lemon juice one day but thought about the lightening thing so I haven't used it again. I guess if it gets lighter, it isn't damaged, right? I have medium/dark brown hair.

Is it a big deal that I don't rinse the boys? They have buzz cuts and I only wash it. I'm not sure how they'd do with a rinse.
