How do you clean wooden toys x-post

How do you clean your wooden toys. Some are not painted and just have beeswax finish. Some are painted (Melissa and Doug brand). We had a playdate today and the other babies drooled all over her toys. I am just washing the cloth ones in the machine but don't know about the wooden ones. I know a lot of people would say not to wash them at all but I have problems with anxiety and will just feel better if they are washed. Would vinegar do it? Will it soak into the wood and taste bad to her? Maybe I could put them in the freezer?

I use vingar. I have never frozen wood toys, but it works great for soft/plush to get rid of dust mites.

I have also sprayed alcohol on some, the stuff you use on cuts, not drink.

good luck.

So if I use vinegar or alcohol is it okay for my dd to chew on them after that or is the residue bad for her?

I never thought or worried about it:
you could wipe again with plain water.

Well, I dont think alcohol would hurt because it evaporates rather quickly.. vinegar wouldnt hurt but I dont know how well it would taste LOL..
