My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

Sea sponge tampons?

I used them for a short time. I liked them a LOT better than tampons, but still found them somewhat drying/irritating on all but my heaviest flow days. In the end, cloth pads worked best for me.
They were very easy to use, though. Just rinse in cold water and disinfect by soaking in a cup of water with one or two drops of tea tree oil added.

I have not tried them because
1. Sea sponges are animals. The idea of putting a dead animal in my vagina freaks me out.
2. Anything harvested from the ocean may or may not have all kinds of pollutants in it. Lots of horrible things are dumped or spilled into the oceans from various places and carried around by the tides.
3. I've heard they tend to leak when you sneeze or bend over.
Try a reusable menstrual cup instead. They are so cool!
Here are some places to shop.

I've tried them. I have pretty light flow and they didn't leak. But I prefer the keeper.
