just got rid of 33 magazines yep i am a hoarder of magazines especially excersize magazines sad i know i want to keep my mothering magazines for a year then i will get rid of them after a year is that sad or what seriously asking. I also like my natural health mags as reference. yoga journal i get rid of after about three months due to how $$$$ they are. but the others after two months or even one month they are gone. does that sound reasonable or is that still just making excuses i am sooo sad i know: :

Krystal- I keep all of my Mothering magazines, but that's it. It's the only subscription that I have but other magazines seem to make their way into our house and I read then recycle them.

2 broken VHS movies tossed out
8 or so into the yard sale box
lots of outgrown clothes into the yard sale box

DH went through the cupboards and gathered all of the tupperware that we're trying to get rid of. Most were totally mismatched.. I can't believe we've held onto them this long :

Over the past few days I collected one bag of trash and one big giveaway item. Today, I found 7 bigs things to throw away and three bags of trash! As for magazines, I've been going through them, too. I went through all my food magazines and pulled out the recipes that I want to try and tossed the rest, I got rid of all my other magazines except my craft magazines. It sounds like I had a ton of magazines, but I didn't have too many!

don't feel bad ya'll i have at least 3 big rubbermaid totes full of magazines . some are at least 15 years old. i have years and years of music mags. parenting mags, mother earth news, real simple etc. the last time i did a major magazine pure was just about 10 years ago.

i did the same thing i'm doing now wich is pulling out the articles i want to keep and collaging the words and images. (i call myself treasure mapping but i haven't properly aligned it with the stars (laughing at myself mind) )

i am so proud of what i did yesterday . i went to the flea market and what didn't sell i actually took straightaway to good will. a whole truck load of stuff. and my gagrage looks so much nicer and i don't have to do another yardsale or fleamarket trek anytime soon!!!!!

OK, I made another Goodwill run yesterday and I am now 16/15 on my goal of 15 bags to Goodwill. I have a small house, which keeps me "honest" about the crap I can keep. I'm still amazed, though, at how much random junk has been tucked into corners.

Sunday
3 bags of trash
4 big items for trash (yep - the trash guys are just going to LOOOOOVE us again this week - my neighbor said she saw them two weeks ago giving up dirty looks. Maybe I should make them cookies or somehing!)

Today
We had someone haul away a bunch of brush from the back yard, a big rickety climbing wall that the previous owners left, an old treadmill, and a weight system that had to be rewired that we finally realized was never going to get rewired. Whew. It feels good to get that crap out of here!

I'm over 1000! 1076 to be exact.

We are having a garage sale on May 12th we now have 22 boxes filled with stuff we are selling plus furniture items and more. I also have nearly 350 books to sell from a business that I used to have that closed. We still have 8 shelves to go through in our garage.

YEAH! I'll be so glad when this is done. We downsized houses 3 times in 4 years and this is the first huge purging.
