April Decluttering Challenge! (Spring is here!) - Page 2

in adition to the one room challenge of the office I also want to go through DS's closet. It is a nightmare, mostly my scrapbooking stuff that doesn't fit in the office... sigh... Goal of 150 items. So far today 1 large bag clothes (from yesterday's declutter of our closets), 1 bridesmaid dress, 1 candleholder, 5-6 jars babyfood. So 8/150

I'm in and I'm going very optimistic. 2500!!!

My mother's club is having their sale at the end of april, so a lot of stuff is going to that, because we are done having kids, so I imagine it should be easy to get to 2500.

Also, I didn't get to count these in March, but I dropped these off Sat so I'll count them here...

49 DVDs
18 CDs
20 Books

Donated to the friends of the library. Yay!

Also, yesterday I got rid of
1 bedskirt
2 queen fitted sheets
2 queen flat sheets
that my brother took

So....

500 in April

I'm going to be brave and make my goal 500 items for April.......I really need to. I said 100 for March because I found the thread with one week left in March. Only got rid of 35 clothing items, but that was just within one hour! I need to work more days this month.

This is off subject, but someone tell me what "subbing" means in posts. I keep seeing it a lot. Don't understand

Guess I'm off to a reasonable start. I've sold 4 things on craigs list yesterday and freecycled 8 things. Boy it would be great if I could do that every day this month.
If I can keep that up I'll have some extra $ at month's end and 360 things out of my house

Subbing.

I exceeded my goal of 1000 last month. So I'm going to be optimistic and say 1500 items for April. With the garage still to be cleaned, meeting that goal should be easybeans!

I'm at 512/2007 (Goal for the year, so I'm technically ahead of schedule. (YAY! ) I have a garage sale scheduled for this month and already have over 50 items that will go in it, but I won't count them until they are actually out of the house. I'm hoping for at least 100 things in the sale. Ppus, my best friend is having a boy, so she'll get a lot of my DS's stuff that I'm not ready to sell, but feel OK giving to her. (If that makes any sense.) Season-wise she won't be able to use a lot, but if my sister in law is going to have a boy, I'll be able to get rid of a lot more. Anything that doesn't sell at the garage sale goes straight to the consignment shop.

I cleaned out the hanging clothes in my closet and put the summer stuff hanging in the front.

Got rid of 22 pieces of clothing and 4 pairs of shoes.

So far, 26/300. I'm loving this thread!

i'm plugging away. last night i found more underware to get rid of, this time in dd's drawer, also some clothes from my closet.

posted some things on craigs list. (dipes, fabric, etc)

didn't pile ANYTHING on my newly cleared desk

OK, yesterday I emptied 20 files of papers, donated a candleholder, old comforter (but I bought a new one, not sure if it counts!) and a box of checks from 2004 (cancelled) ready to burn. So had 8/150 before now will count 31/150. Slow but sure!
