3 very full bags of giveaway stuff today.

If today keeps going the way it has been - I might add three kids to that giveaway pile!: Just kidding, of course. Why do they always have to do this when dh is AWAY?????

I'm in too!

This is my first time doing this but since I'm in the spring cleanign mood and I've NEVER in a cleaning mood I'm going to try for 500 items. And I'm going to focus on the the kitchen as well as my linen closet, possibly the cupboards in my bathroom too!

So far..

Freecycled 4 items yesterday

I'm in the "gathering" stage for our yard sale, so it might be a week or so before I see some real progress!

I recently sold a whole box of stuff at a consignment store- mostly stuff that used to hang on my walls and some knicknacks relatives gave me. I also sold 4 things on Craigslist and through the local paper. I just got together 3 boxes and an old laundry hamper to donate to my church yard sale. They are sitting around waiting for the moment I find I can drop them off. I also took pictures of outgrown baby clothes and put them on CL. I'm giving it a month and if they dont' sell then I'm taking them to the local kids resale shop. I'm so proud of myself! I've been working so hard to declutter.

I'm joining a little late, but I definitely want in. I'm going to start on Monday, because tomorrow is my baby's bday and then Sunday is Easter. I'm going to try for 10 things a day. I did a bunch of purging over the winter, but didn't really do the kids toys very well. I also need to go thru all their winter stuff and decide what to put away and what to keep. Then there are all my cookbooks, I really need to pare down. Oh what else, random stuff in our guest bedroom. I think I can easily do 10 a day if I stay on task, LOL.

So that's 22 days if I start on Monday, so 220 items.

I'm joining in, not setting a goal, any amount would be nice! My count is up to 14, I think.

How do you keep track of counting, here I was going through the house and picking out stuff and bagging it, got distracted, lost count, wasn't going to retouch the things in case of 2nd thoughts so I 'knew' I had gotten to 11 so I started back there, does it get easier to remember what number you are at?

I jot things down on a piece of paper on the fridge and check in here every other day or so (falling behind right now, though )

oooh, i just happened upon this thread and it's just what i need. I'm drowning in stuff right now! I need lots of good decluttering vibes, b/c I am NOT good at getting rid of stuff, but i really need to!

I know my family and I will all feel better if I get this place in order! I have a trashbag of old clothes I sorted through 2 days ago.. I think I'll go count them really fast just to get a start and then try to keep count!

I'm thinking 350 is a reasonable goal for now... I don't really even know!

thanks for the great thread everyone!
