So DH and I had been joking how great it would be to go into labor April 1st, since this is the day we have said was the due date (really March 30, we are sure of the conception date). So anyway, I woke up this morning with a few contractions, which isn't abnormal. The cool think it that DD was askign if today was "14", since she has a b-day party to go to on April 14. I told her that doday was the first, and she got really excited and said" April1st? The baby will come out today!" (we had been saying that the baby will come out in April). I ecplained that the baby does not tell us when he/she will come out, but that it could be in the next few weeks.
So I went back upstairs (this was early in the am) and decided to lay back down with DH. I began to really think that today could be the day. The next two times I went pee, I saw just a timy bit of pink in the mucous, and so I got more excited. Over the next hour and a half, I had 5-6 ctx, about 15 min apart. Once DH finally woke up, I told him that I was having a few ctx, AND I was hungry. Once on our way to my favorite breakfast spot, the ctx began to come closer together - ~7 min. We have been home for 2 hours now and they are about 6 min apart and very regular. DH is beginning to fill the birth pool and Mom already came to pick up DD, so we are all ready.
Now we are just deciding how to keep these ctx going
walking, nipple stim or something else. I am voting against walking because I don't enjoy being not at home when I have a ctx, but hey, whatever works, right?
