what could this be??

hey mamas, I have been feeling a ton of pressure lately and some ocasional sharp pains in my lower belly. If I bend over even a tiny bit I feel a lot of pressure like in the rectal area. as far as I know I havent been having any contractions, at least not regularly. And the pressure I figured was pretty normal, but the sharp pains have got me a bit worried. Should I play it safe and call the doctor or wait it out and see what happens? I'm working right now, but I work at home on the computer so I'm just sitting here and It only seems to bother me when I move. Walking makes it much worse. Any ideas? I'm due april 7th and the doc said it could be any day now... so you think this is normal?

I have also had a pretty bad headache on and off for the last few days, but I'm just getting over a cold and am pretty sure it was from all the sinus pressure. My bp is normal, and although I have had quite a bit of ankle swelling, it's kept under control if I keep my feet up and drink plenty of water. So I don't think that's causing any problems...

I have had sharp pains inside whenever I move too quickly, especially when I stand up. I have found that standing upi slowly, moving slowly, ans trying to "lift" the baby out of my pelvis helps. I think it is those ligaments or maybe my muscles stretching.

It is usually the worst when I am standing up after sitting for awhile, like after my commute home.

Does it help to move slowly??? Sometimes I will take over a minute to get up, and even longer to get out of the car to avoid that pain.

HTH!

Do you feel like the baby has dropped? I know my babe has and I feel tons of pressure. It's especially intense when I first stand up. I can feel gravity at work!

i also get really sharp pains in my lower belly... i figured it's ligaments or something like that. they are the worst when i'm sitting in certain positions (like in a car) or when i cough or move too quickly...

yeah moving slowly definitely helps, It usually happens when i'm moving around or changing positions. I guess its just ligaments, its just so uncomfortable with all the pressure and everything on top of it, I almost feel like the baby's about to come out even though I'm not having any contractions, just bc theres so much pressure when I move. I've been sitting here for awhile now and haven't felt much... I was out grocery shopping this morning and running some errands which is why it got worse i guess. I hope all this pressure means he's coming soon! I'm only 39 weeks and I already feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever!!

I am with you mama! I feel like I am carrying a backpack around my waist when I am out and about. Try squatting or leaning back into a butterfly position. This has definitely helped me when I get back from my daily walk, which isn't easy, but well worth the fresh air and some exercise. I am due in a week, but I can't imagine making it until then.

Feel good!

sounds like ligaments to me as well. Just this week I have a lot more pressure and pain down low as well. Suddenly I am walking about the speed of a snail, well, not really even walking waddling back and forth.
