i just started babysitting 2 babies (7days old and 5months old) and since then my dd is so sad, when i hafta tend to the babies she goes and sits by herself and says "my mommy", it breaks my heart. I try to let her help and keep her involved but she doesn't want to be involved, she wants "her" mommy all to herself. Please tell me this is a passing thing, i get so upset that she's sad about the babies taking her mommy away. how do you deal with it? I try to share the attention between them but she's not used to that cuz we used to be together just her and i all day. Any suggestions? Please

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I don't have any advice. I didn't want to read and not say anything. It sounds like such a hard position to be.
I think that there's a chance that your dd will warm up to the babies--sometimes it takes awhile to adjust and that's a big change.
I hope things get better--it so hard to watch your child be sad.

Before the babies she was very independent and didn't want to be held all the time but now she went back to "needing" to be held all the time.
Dh and i were TTC#3 but now we're not sure if that'd be a good idea. I know millions of mama's do it all the time but my 2 dd's are over 12 yrs apart in age so i don't know how to handle it.
