With all of thesetoxic mainstream products aimedto help shed dead skin cells, brighten skin, and possiably produce cell turnover where are the green mamassuppose toturn to?
I have no attention on using botox, orany other commercial product with toxic things going on my skin. So my question is there natural fruits, oild, herbs that I can use to mimmick the same thing as these other products?

I am looking for natural things to use with these items that are in mainstream products.

AHA- alpha hydroxy acid
Fruit acids
Glycolic acid
BHA- beta hydroxy acid

A few years ago I hadacne really bad so I was put on retin-A I don't know what was in it - bad stuff maybe? and my skin did get worse more acne, peeling but after awhile my skin never looked better. Fine lines were almost uninoticeable, pores seemed unclogged, and it seemed to have faded my acne scars, and also helped with acne scars that were pitting my skin. But I went off of it. So looking formaybe something that is almost like this?

AHA- alpha hydroxy acid -- Apple Cider Vinegar or Fruit acids
Fruit acids - Lemon Juice/ACV also works
Glycolic acid - Brown Sugar; smaller degree - raw honey
BHA- beta hydroxy acid - not sure about the function or purpose of this.

I don't buy any over the counter stuff any more since ACV works so darn well and I don't peel, itch, get massive breakouts and stuff.

Rosewater, Grapefruit and orange essential oils are also great for wrinkle-prone skin. A natural essential oil, but really pricy oil, is something commonly known as "Immortelle".

Coconut oil, jojoba, and olive oils are also good to keep wrinkles at bay (not an essential oil, but it's a carrier oil).

Face/body exfoliation and microdermabrasion: Baking Soda.

As mentioned before everywhere, the best way to keep wrinkles from happening is proper sunscreen and sun protection, drinking plenty of water, avoiding excessive caffeine/alcohol and fatty empty caloric foods, and to keep moisturized externally. Get plenty of sleep and refrain from smoking.

By the way, the main ingredient in Retin-A is massive amounts of vitamin A - which is toxic when you're pregnant, but you can help acne by washing your face with honey, and taking B-Complex, vitamin E, and Zinc/Magnesium/Calcium combo pills. You can take small amounts of vitamin A too.

You can also mash up boiled carrots and make a facial.

Retin-A also has alpha hydroxies to get rid of the scarring and peel your skin layers off to get fresh skin. Again, apple cider vinegar or fruit acids like orange or lemon juice can do that. If that's harsh, you can try something like plain yogurt (has some regular acids and lactic acids) and that's good for skin.

Making masks with brown sugar helps quite a bit too. After any kind of treatment, moisturize thoroughly. Don't keep any of these treatments on your face and go out in the sun. During the day, wear something like Oil of Olay Sensitive with SPF 15.

Garden of wisdom makes fairly natural versions of these products. www.gardenofwisdom.com

Spastica - How do you use the Apple Cider Vinegar? Splash it on your face/ put it on a washcloth and let it sit on your face ??
And what do you mix your brown sugar with for a scrub?

I suppose you can use ACV like that - I keep it simple and use it as a toner. If I scrub with baking soda in the shower, I may pat a little diluted ACV on my face since I already have a diluted ACV spray bottle in the shower when I do no poo. If I'm washing my face in the sink and need to use some ACV, I squirt some on a cotton ball and wipe my face and then moisturize before I go to bed. I don't wear ACV during the day.

I don't need to do a huge ACV facial yet since I don't have wrinkles yet, so I haven't tried that. Just avoid the eye area because it will sting.

As for brown sugar -- I keep it simple, you can add a little water to brown sugar (I use light brown so it's not so crystal-like), and I just scrub with that or scrub, leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse. Some people add brown sugar to honey.

For other facials, try honey and baking soda or baking soda and Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (not all the way natural, but it's really a good product).

I know this is not exactly what you are looking for, but I've found skin brushing to be faster and mnore effective on skin firming, tightening and stretch mark reduction more than anything else I've tried.

Also, www.cosmeticscop.com has BHA in a liquid form. It looks like it has fewer nasties than other lotion products.

Another great way to exfoliate is with Scotch tape. Just stick on your face and gently peel. Do this at night about twice a week (any more, and you will irritate your skin), and make sure to wear sunscreen. This really worked to get rid of my cystic acne on my chin.
