Slightly frusterated...

Is anyone else slightly frusterated??: (Just so you know..this is going to sound a bit whiney! LOL

I keep coming to these boards and reading all the birth announcements of people who have EDD's later than me..and I get so JEALOUS!! LOL!

The due date's in FOUR DAYS...and I just want this little one to get her little cute butt O-U-T! I think I psyched myself up a little too much thinking that she'd be here before her due date..but I think I was a bit wrong. I was checked by my midwife on Friday and she said nothing is going on except that my cervix is soft. Whoop de doo da! : I'm not having all that many contractions or cramping, though it's probably about 10-20 per day. I'm just getting so anxious and impatient. I KNOW she'll be here soon...but I want her here NOWW!!!!!

*sigh*

I'm expecting my first....but I remember that my mom had one baby with only 2 contractions I have been talking to her a lot b/c I don't know how to recognise labour and she said out of 8 births only maybe half the time did she get a lot of signs before the actualy day she went into labour...

...nothing from personal experience - just hoping to brighten you day a bit

Thats nice to hear. My due date is Friday. I okay waiting for baby to come out when ever baby is ready- no big hurry but I would like to see some signs that labor will be taking place in the next 3 weeks. Maybe a little mucous, increasing contractions, baby dropping lower, maybe some cervical changes ( I still cant reach my cervix and I havent had any VE by my MW). I just remind myself that some women do not experience any changes until labor.....right girls??????

now im reading about women who have been feeling this and more for weeks!
so i feel pretty clueless and just hope he plans on making it soon! i see my midwife tomorrow, im gonna ask her to check my cervix so i have SOMe notion of whats going on down there!

I am just planning on being late again. Everything turned out so well the first time, I figure a well cooked baby is actually a good thing! Being patient is the hardest part, but having a newborn that sleeps and eats and grows well is a benefit to having it two weeks late. Hang in there!

I'm due in 2 days and what has made the wait the hardest was being told that I would probably deliver early. So now I've been waiting for 2+ weeks and will end up being "on time" or late. I'm just glad that my parents didn't change their flights and come out early to wait.

yeah exactly! Im in the same boat. and I also was told I was going to go early and now I feel like Ive been waiting forever. I'm due Saturday. It seems like I'll be pregnant forever. I'm going to be checked wednesday to see what's going on. I think Im going to cry if it doesnt look like anythings progressing! I hope he decides to come out before i even go to that apt... *fingers crossed*

Out of my 8 babies, only one came before my due date on his own, and that was baby #8. I was totally not ready for him! :

I usually NEVER have any signs that labor is going to start beforehand. I used to get frustrated about it, but then found a great sense of calm about it. It is entirely possible to have no outward signs of ANYTHING happening in the morning, and still have a baby that night.
