Junk mail (catalogs, ect)

Thread Starter
I have spent the past weeks emailing companys to take me off their catalog mailing lists.. mostly companies that are not pertinent like Chicos, Pottery Barn; stuff I know I will never buy or be able to afford to buy realistically

Is there a national get-rid-of-junk-mail website or place I can email to be removed from ALL junk mail mailings? I would love this! TIA!

Yes there is, but I cannot remember what it is. I did it a long time ago and then I requested one Pottery Barn catalog and it's been downhill since. I'm hoping someone will have the link so I can unsub from them too.

Sometimes this just doesnt work.I am doing the same and I keep a tally of the mags that come AFTER I send them the please stop letter. I guess the next step is to call these folks.

It's the Direct Marketing Association (you can google it probably). I just read this weekend that they're starting to charge $1 to remove your name from the lists. This bugs me on principle, so I think I'll just call the individual catalogs that I don't want!

Some of them do have them printed and labelled months in advance. If they're still coming after 3-6 months, then they probably haven't removed your name.
