Luteal phase question

Thread Starter
I am TTC and I have had only had two AF since having DD #1.
But I have discovered that I have a very short luteal phase ( 5-6 days). I have read on here about others taking a B vitamin (?).

Can anyone explain this to me ?

along with when and how much to take?

does anyone know of a website that can explain it?

Also, can I expect my luteal phase to get longer?
I thought maybe things were a little screwed up since it was only my second PPAF.

Thanks for any answers you can give me!!

Here is a couple of websites I came across on fertility friend. I haven't checked them out myself but thought they might help answer some questions.

As far as I know, adding B6 and OTC prog. cream is likely to increase your lp by one or two days. Hopefully that will be enough for you!

Good luck! (I also have a short lp and just started using OTC progesterone cream)

Lilysmom,

It is also very likely that your cycles will self-correct within a few more cycles, from what I understand. So if you can wait it out just a bit, you may not need to use anything. Of course that might take more will power than you have available if you're like many of us!
