Supper Challenge (help!)- What Can I Make with......

I forgot to plan for company for supper on wednesday.
I don't have enough of anything I normally make. There will be 4 adults and a 3 year old. The adults aren't used to anything "mom didn't make". (the 3 year old will eat anything!)
I was hoping someone could help.

I have:

1 big can chick peas
lots of tomato sauce, paste, etc. (including one jar nice fresh organic tomato basil sauce)
rice
pasta of all sorts (some buckwheat, rice)
cheddar cheeze
homemade chicken broth (lots)
3 eggs
kefir
milk

fresh:
asperagus
carrots
shallots
swiss chard
poultry seasoning

Frozen:
green beans (only a few)
corn
peas
shrimp
stew meat (only enough for a 3 person stew)
stew bones - but I don't think there's time for that.

also bread, flour (spelt and wheat), rice crackers, soy sauce, and a bunch of other basic stuff.

We all eat meat, dairy, but I don't do wheat. I can usually find a way around it, though.

Any ideas???? I have big hopes for the chick peas, and the tomato sauce is so delish.....

Thanks!!!

If I was cooking for people, I'd probably make a pasta jardiniere kind of thing with the tomato sauce and the veggies and some creamy dairy product (hehe that is funny to me because I actually usually don't eat any of those ingredients!). Then you can serve it with bread and butter.

I also found:
green peppers,
mushrooms (lots, even some oyster mushrooms)
Cans of tuna and salmon
can of refried beans

Maybe vegitarian chilli with refries instead of beans - has anyone tried that before???

Maybe I put this in the wrong forum!
The supper is TONIGHT and now there are 2 MORE people.

AND it has to be quick to cook as DH has to leave early.:

Recent thoughts are pasta salad with tuna and lots of vegies.

I like what you have, but a sauce on top of pasta with what you have might work too.

Assuming you have enough salmon, I vote for salmon cakes with a side of vegetable medley steamed with butter (and herbs if you have any), and a side of pasta with either a cheese or tomato sauce.

Oops, a bit too late now for last night's dinner, but salmon cakes are basically:

1 can salmon (tall, roughly 14 oz can can)
1 small to medium onion, chopped finely
1/2 cup cracker crumbs, bread crumbs, or pulverized fresh bread
2 small or 1 large eggs
couple tbsp fresh chopped parsley (optional)
1 tsp dry mustard (can substitute with good quality mustard condiment)
salt, pepper, paprika to taste

Drain can of salmon, beat eggs, and mix all ingredients together.
Form patties and pan fry like you would crab cakes.
