I saw my midwife this morning and my baby is head down, but ROA. I was always sure that I should be sleeping on my left side to get her to turn to LOA. The midwife said that she used to tell people that, but just recently learned that you should sleep on your right side to turn the baby to LOA. I checked Spinning Babies and didn't find any info on what side to sleep on. So I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this.

i sleep on both sides, though i'm more comfortable on my right, but try to sleep a lot on my left, too, because i tend to high blood pressure. my first baby was LOA all the time, this one is ROA.
i can see an argument either way - in one sense, they should swivel down so the heavier side of them (spine) is lower... but on the other hand, depending how far forward you lean when you're on your side, you're compressing that side of your belly and making them want to move over to the upper side. i know if i lie on my side now on a hard surface the baby starts pushing off the floor to push it away from them.
