I'm going to hurt someone....

...and its going to be the next person that asks if we know what causes this (pregnancies)!!

Ok, I am admittedly hormonal. I yelled at everyone in the house last night because I couldnt find a hair clip. This is thier fault because I only keep them in one place and I buy them and buy them and buy them, but for some reason, my kids love the darn things and so I can never find one when I need it! <huff>

But I tell you, I guess they're joking, but after hearing the same line almost every fricking day for nine months.....and also the nine months I was pregnant the last time as well, it just gets old. Or maybe Im just hormonal but I resent the implication that my children are mistakes, or something we obviously should have avoided. We actually planned for and TRIED to concieve these kids! On purpose.

Ok, sorry, end of rant. (Can you tell I just heard this today? Yes, and its only the third person to say it to me in as many days.)

Aw..people say the dumbest things

I am with you sista! Don't let people's stupid comments get you down. Always consider the source, but don't bother judging.

Afterall, I need to make sure that we get cable because what else am I going to do when the baby comes. And...don't all kids need tv? What about vaccinations? Are you crazy for having a homebirth...don't you know?

Yeh, there are a lot dummies out there, but sometimes they mean well, but they are just sucked into the whole paradigm of the conventional world where reality is just dim.:

Relax, love your baby and think of good things!

I actually saw a T-shirt on Cafe Press that said something like "Yes, I know what causes this. Do you know what causes your rudeness?"

I would SO wear that! Now for a tshirt that tells people to bugger off about extended breastfeeding, cosleeping, etc.

You know you love all that good parenting advice like,
"If you dont let him cry, his lungs will never develop"
"She'll still be sleeping with you when she's 30"
"You have to cut the apron strings sometimes" (about a one year old child)
"If you dont spank him, he'll be a screaming brat that no one wants to be around"
"Your just afraid they wont like you if you tell them no" (so not true, they get told no, just not necesarily about things YOU think they should.....)
"If youd just give him some rice cereal in a bottle, he'd sleep through the night" (at six weeks) cuz after all, "I did it and it worked" (but gee, I dont know why my baby had colic and constipation)
"You must still be breastfeeding because youre getting something out of it, she doesnt need it anymore. Youre not suppose to do that after a year."

Oh God, I could go on. The "You know what causes that right?" comments are worse when followed by advice on how to stop it. As if Im not capable of understanding birthcontrol. There are 11 years between number one and number two, so obviously I know how to avoid it.

How about, "Don't you think you're doing more harm than good by letting her sleep with you so long?" (dd is 2)

and, "Yeah, I said I'd never spank too. You'll see, you'll do it too!" followed by a very big laugh.

OH yeah, I had a coworker who knew I was tandem nursing tell me upon finding out I was pg, that now I HAD to wean one, since I only have two breasts. Then she repeated this to everyone who would listen and laughed uproariously at herself each time.

Poor ignorant poopyheads! They should have a contraception clinic just for people like that! Heck, they could just get sterilized right out of high school and save the world some troubles. Sad thing is that they keep on procreating and we need to balance it all out.

I feel bad for those dumb dumbs!

Yeah I have heard this about 10 times along with how we are gonna need a chruch van to haul all these kids around and people suggesting that I get my tubes tied (which I am doing but not because of anyone suggesting it). It makes me ill and it takes everything I have not to get smart with people when they say these things. Is it not okay if someone chooses to have 4 kids or even more if they desire? I take care of my kids they don't...I just don't get it!
