last minute name drama

we decided months ago that we likes Landon. but now that it's getting so close I just don't know if I'm in love with it. what do you think? what does the name make you think of?

We agreed we aren't choosing a name 100% until we meet him, and we have a short list of our top choices, but we were pretty much agreed on Landon... I just don't know.

the other choices are Cody, Noah, and Jackson (Jack)

His middle name will be Scott. We chose it for a few significant reasons so that's not up for debate.

Soo.... mainly out of curiousity what do you guys think?

Weeelllll, I personally think Cody and Landon are awesome names. My 2nd ds (4th baby) is named Codey, and my last baby, #8, is Landen.

I prefer Landon and Cody also - I think Landon sounds best with Scott!

Landon makes me think of Michael Landon and Little House on the Prairie...but it's not a BAD association...Landon Scott is a very nice name in my opinion and not likely to be too common.

so funny - this has happened twice to me. the name I had picked out almost the entire pregnancy for a boy (both) times just didn't seem right as the due date approached and we went with something else. I'd wait until you meet your little one - you'll know which one is right once you see him - but imo, something has already told you that Landon might not be right..I love Jack as well..

Landon sounds a lot like our last name. I like it very much but I know what you mean about last minute name things - we are doing the same thing.

Personaly I like landon scott the best! But I know how it is to think you have settled on a name and then change your mind tword the end.....DS2 was going to be Thorin but some where around 37 weeks we totally canged our minds and named him Orion Thor instead!

Not in your ddc, but Landon makes me think of Michael Landon and not in a LHOTP way. More of an association with the sordid marital scandal he was involved in. And I'm not a fan of last names as first names, so I guess Noah would get my vote, except that it's so dang trendy these days

I'm not in your DDC, but I know several wonderful, sweet, smart, and funny boys who are named Noah or Jack, so I think those are great names!

I think you will know which fits him when you see him. I was totally set on naming our dd Annaliese, when I saw her I said, "NOPE" and Adelynn was our back up, and she is every bit an Addie.
