So today my old college roomate asked me the dumbest question I've ever heard....

We were talking about how I just can't wait to have this baby, and how I've been doing everything I know to convince him to come out.. and she said well have lots of sex! .. and I have been, believe me! (and it hasn't worked... grr...: ...) and then she asked me if you could get pregnant with another baby if you have sex while your pregnant...... :

umm... at first I thought she was joking. but she wasn't. I was shocked at her obvious lack of understanding. Idk.. I just think that if you're having sex you should have a basic understanding of reproduction... and this girl is in college.

anyway, it just made me giggle and I thought I'd share. ha.

Wow...is she gonna babysit??

If that were the case, I'm sure A LOT of us would be pregnant with dozens and dozens of babies...especially as we all do whatever we can to get the "first" baby out!

Not in your DD but I just read here on MDC about this being physically possible, though I haven't verified it...

It's possible, just very very very rare. Just read about it a few weeks ago. "Twins" can be conceived a month or more apart.

Okay all.. I know sex is said to speed up the process of baby coming, but I have been curious.. does it help to have orgasms, or doesn't it matter? I've been dying to ask this and finally got up the courage. Go me!

Orgasms can help cause contractions.

My great aunt had 2 uteri. It is extremely rare, but every now and then a woman will have 2 and will get pregnant whilst pregnant. It never happened to my aunt b/c she and her dh (in this case d is not dear or darling) were not that close, IYKWIM

Superfetation is possible, although yes, it is rare.

Orgasm releases oxytocin, which causes uterine contractions. So orgasm is helpful. There are prostaglandins in semen though, that help ripen the cervix. So, there are benefits to having sex whether you have an orgasm or not.
