I posted last week about my zit problem. I have been doing honey for washibng for about a month now. I love it. But, I just keep getting zit after zit around my mouth. Even after the zit is gone I am left with a red mark.. so its like it still there anyways! Is there anything else I can do?

I started putting TTO on them, but that really dries out my skin, so I have a zit with an area around it thats all dried out, does not look good!:

I have had this problem sicne giving birth to my son in 2002.

I find that this starts happening to me when I begin using lip balm (Burt's Bees, or whatever). Clogs the pores. Also, pay close attention to how often you're touching your face. Sometimes when I get a zit, I have a tendency to keep touching it--next thing I know, I have a couple more around it! And when I sit with my chin in my hand, my fingers settle around my mouth...and that's right where the zits/blackheads pop up.

HTH! I'm having a bit of a problem myself lately : Been trying to remember to keep my hands off my face!

Do you normally have oily skin? You can try mixing baking soda with the honey once or twice a week. Not only is it a good exfoliant, it also helps reduce oil. If that's not your problem, are you using a moisturizer after you wash? If not, that could be your problem. If you're not providing enough moisture to your skin, your skin tries to correct the problem, and overproduces thereby causing zits. Try using a small amount of shea butter to moisturize after washing.
HTH.

Switch toothpastes! Certain toothpastes make me break out terribly around my mouth.

I use toms natural toothpaste. I wash my face after I brush too, so I dont think it would make much of a difference.

Thanks to everyone for your advice.
