39 week M/W Appointment...

So at 39 weeks 1 Day SOMETHING is supposed to be happening right? Nope, not a thing. I have been 1cm dilated for 3 weeks and have made NO progress.

Our little guy has decided he is comfortable and doesn't feel like coming out or even getting ready to come out (m/w said I am still between -1/-2 station and he still needs to drop A LOT for anything to happen).

My midwife scheduled me appointments through 42 weeks (yep, that inspires HUGE amounts of confidence!!) Next week is a regular appt on Monday and an NST on Friday then an ultrasound (to check fluid) the following Monday.

I guess our guy just wants to be around when the weather is warmer and not wet! His current guesstimated weight: 8lb 4oz

PS - On a side note, I totally feel like I am being punished for wanting to have a no drug, low intervention, all "natural" remedies pregnancy...gotta love it! I know this is not true but my poor state of mind is suffering!!!!

my ds didn't drop until i was in labor (and it was my first), if that makes ya feel any better.

and i never believe guestimated weights...ds' was over 9lbs and he was 6lbs 14 oz. just be positive...your labor could start at anytime!

I went to 41.6 weeks, yes 13 days over due. It was frustrating waiting, but my dd was only 8.1 and labor was fantastic (start to finish 9 hours). It was well worth it to wait and let things happen on their own time. Hoping you are able to take it easy, get some rest and let your body and baby do this thing!

Nothing happening now means very little in terms of when your baby will come. I never have any prelude to the big event. Which is really cool, because it means it can happen at any minute.

Ditto everyone! My son was estimated at over 9 pounds and he was 7.12

((Hugs)) mama! I wouldn't get hung up on the progress. I have had friends that had no signs of labor all the sudden start having contractions 5 minutes apart and have a baby in a matter of hours and then my best friend who had a baby last month was 3 cms and 80% effaced for 3 weeks and ended up not having her baby until 41 weeks and 1 day. You just never know!
