My dishes are cloudy!

I started using the equal parts washing soda and borax in my dishwasher. Everyhting is cloudy though. My tupperware had this almost dusty film on it. Our water is from our well and VERY high in iron. (The inside of the dishwasher is tinted red, along with the bathtub)

What should I do now? I hope they are safe to eat off of since we have been doing so. (I use baking soda and tea tree oil in the wash along with white vinegar as softener so I have those ingredients to work with)

I tried this too, and no matter what I did (adjusting amounts of WS, borax, vinager, adding citric acid, etc.) my dishes remained cloudy. I always ended up handwashing them out of the dishwasher.

I've tried every kind of natural recipe and already made natural dishwashing detergents...the only one that has worked 100% for us is the Ecover dishwashing tablets.

IT sounds like you're using too much product and it isn't getting washed away. It can also happen if you have a water softener and it is running while the dishwasher is going.

For the iron, put a iron remover in before the water hits the watertank, it'll help get rid of alot of it.
