Amniotic fluid level question

I am UPing this baby (#3, 1st UP/UC - at 35 weeks today by LMP), and have a question about my amniotic fluid level...the last few weeks this baby has seemed extra active, and its movements have become almost painful at times. There have been moments of really sharp jabs and kicks, and last night some bony part (knee, I think) actually formed a triangle sticking out of my belly! I haven't really thought much about it, but today at the chiro, she took one look at me and asked if I've been drinking enough water. She's seen me every week for the last 5 or 6 weeks, and noticed my belly not having grown this time. She also said she could actually FEEL the baby more than she ever has before...which I now have to admit, I've kind of thought the same thing. We are new to the desert climate, and it's been over 90 the last week, so there's a good chance I am dehydrated.

Long story into short question: is this something I should really chase down and find an answer to? Is there anything to do besides get really well hydrated?

Any suggestions/comments welcome!

And while I'm posting...this baby also seems to jab me a LOT way down low (like where my thigh starts). It feels like a hand/elbow, and I'm pretty sure of position (LOA switching frequently to ROA), but it's really low! Any thoughts on that?

It's a long story but when I was admitted to the hospital for a low AFI, they made me soak in a stock tank for at least an hour a day, (along with IV fluids and bedrest : ). My midwives mentioned that swimming is really good too. I guess it's almost like an osmosis thing.

Drink drink drink, I'm in Phoenix (and a native ) so I know very well how hot it has gotten lately and I can never seem to stay hydrated.
