baby sling in the boonies!

Hey all,

I just went to visit my mom's relative in the boonies (southwestern VA) and was slinging my DS at the playground and in the grocery stores. Now this is a town where you're highly educated if you finished high school - so not really worldly folks there. But everywhere I went folks just went CRAZY over my sling! They stopped me and asked me about it and just thought it was great and "where could they get one"? Of course most of them have HEARD of the internet, but don't actually know how to use it .....wish I'd had a trunkful I could have sold like crazy! LOL

Anyway it was nice to know that even folks inthe boonies can get into slings!

Sorry if you were insulted - I'm a hick from TN so I didn't mean anything by it. I just thought it was interesting that just "regular" folks really dug the slings too...I think the whole sling thing has the potential to go mainstream!

I'm in rural north Louisiana and constantly get compliments on my carriers. I keep hoping I'll start seeing other mamas around here wearing their babies, but no such luck yet.
