Good books for toddlers?

Hi, all. I did a quick search, but brain too tired. Anyone have good book recommendations for toddlers that show two moms? Our friends' toddler has recently started calling her mom "dad" (and still using "mama" for her mama) and they're frustrated/puzzled/concerned. I don't think they're terribly plugged into the QP world. Suggestions?
TIA!

The website www.twolives.com has lots of books, grouped by child age! Hope that helps!

I haven't actually read these, but supposedly they are books about regular, run-of-the-mill things and the kid just happens to have two moms. But the two moms aren't the topic of the story, you know? Kind of cool... I keep meaning to order them!

I was just going to suggest that site! My internet friend (she lives in Spain) Lucia is the publisher and writer of the Manu series. It's based on her son, Manuel, who sadly died last year in a car crash.

You can look for books by Johnny Valentine also. I really enjoyed "The Daddy Machine", where two kids decide to make a machine that makes a daddy when their moms go out for the day. They end up with dozens of daddies that do all kinds of different things when the machine malfunctions. It's pretty cute!

Our 3-year-old loves Emma and Meesha My Boy, a book about a girl, her cat, and her 2 moms.

The Family Book

My 19-month-old loves "The Family Book" by Todd Parr (or any of his books). A friend's kid loves "Everywhere Babies". We have a couple of other books that are too old for her right now, but are great books: Tango (about boy penguins who adopt an egg and raise it) and The Family ABC Book.

http://rainbowrumpus.org/ is an awesome resource.

We just got All Families Are Special by Norma Simon from the library. As books go it didn't rock our world, but one page did feature a two mom family.

We're Todd Parr fans too. Haven't seen the family book, but love the Okay book.
