Pull out a notebook (or open a Word document!) and at the top of the page write 'What I love about me.'

I don't have a shop yet but yeah, some of my ideas are LOA and switch word inspired
Does anyone else have any shops or other websites to share? We can link to a business site in a post right?

67. Rebirth http://www.osho.com/magazine/tarot/p...068Rebirth.jpg Rebirth In Zen you are coming from nowhere and you are going to nowhere. You are just now, here, neither coming nor going. Everything passes by you; your consciousness reflects it but it does not get identified. When a lion roars in front of a mirror, do you think the mirror roars? Or when the lion is gone and a child comes dancing, the mirror completely forgets about the lion and starts dancing with the child--do you think the mirror dances with the child? The mirror does nothing, it simply reflects. Your consciousness is only a mirror. Neither do you come, nor do you go. Things come and go. You become young, you become old; you are alive, you are dead. All these states are simply reflections in an eternal pool of consciousness. Osho Osho Live Zen, Volume, 2 Chapter 16
Commentary: This card depicts the evolution of consciousness as it is described by Friedrich Nietzsche in his book, Thus Spake Zarathustra. He speaks of the three levels of Camel, Lion and Child. The camel is sleepy, dull, self-satisfied. He lives in delusion, thinking he's a mountain peak, but really he is so concerned with others' opinions that he hardly has any energy of his own. Emerging from the camel is the lion. When we realize we've been missing life, we start saying no to the demands of others. We move out of the crowd, alone and proud, roaring our truth. But this is not the end. Finally the child emerges, neither acquiescent nor rebellious, but innocent and spontaneous and true to his own being. Whatever the space you're in right now--sleepy and depressed, or roaring and rebellious--be aware that it will evolve into something new if you allow it. It is a time of growth and change. |
| 77. We Are The World http://www.osho.com/magazine/tarot/p...reTheWorld.jpg We Are The World When thousands and thousands of people around the earth are celebrating, singing, dancing, ecstatic, drunk with the divine, there is no possibility of any global suicide. With such festivity and with such laughter, with such sanity and health, with such naturalness and spontaneity, how can there be a war?... Life has been given to you to create, and to rejoice, and to celebrate. When you cry and weep, when you are miserable, you are alone. When you celebrate, the whole existence participates with you. Only in celebration do we meet the ultimate, the eternal. Only in celebration do we go beyond the circle of birth and death. Osho I Celebrate Myself Chapter 4
Commentary: Humanity is depicted here as a rainbow of beings, dancing around the mandala of the earth with their hands joined together in joy and gratitude for the gift of life. This card represents a time of communication, of sharing the riches that each of us brings to the whole. There is no clinging here, no grasping. It is a circle without fear of feelings of inferiority and superiority. When we recognize the common source of our humanity, the common origins of our dreams and longings, our hopes and fears, we are able to see that we are all joined together in the great miracle of existence. When we can combine our tremendous inner wealth to create a treasure of love and wisdom that is available to all, we are linked together in the exquisite pattern of eternal creation. |

Well, this is a growing idea so I've not done anything with it yet! But my intention right now is to pick three beads for each family member and knot them together on silk cord. I will probably include additional sets of three beads for aspects of our community and/or extended family. Basically just beads for extra appreciation that we can use to focus on anything else around us as we're inclined. Then I'd like to start a daily ritual of working with the beads to appreciate how blessed we are.
I'll let you know how it turns out! (This is all inspired by what Billie-Jo is already doing, which you can read about in her posts above.) |

shameless plug for my blog here,
but this is what kind of got it started and i shared it on one of the old threads:http://life-fantastic.blogspot.com/2...dma.html#links then last week, my daughter came home from school with some little "prayer beads" she made at school. i was very touched by this. i'm meaning to make another blog post about it. |
| You all are getting a bead! |
LoA!

I have a 'weekly challenge' for everyone! This is guaranteed to make you feel better about you, and therefore better about how everyone else feels about you! (Which is only ever a reflection of how you feel about yourself anyway, right?!) This is inspired by Denise Coates, author of Feel it Real. Great woman, fantastic book!
Pull out a notebook (or open a Word document!) and at the top of the page write 'What I love about me.' Every day for the next week, write as many things as you can that you love about yourself. Write AT LEAST five things a day. It might seem hard at first as many of us are not used to self-appreciation. But don't worry - the more wonderful things you find, the more wonderful things you'll find! LoA in action. After day one, you might find it helpful/inspiring to start by reading your list to-date.Remember, the 'smallest' thing at all is worthy of writing down... For example, "I love the shape of my lips" or "I love that I bake fantastic chocolate chip cookies". You could even start with "I love that I am giving myself this gift of self-appreciation." ![]() Have fun, and don't forget to post at the end of the week and say how it went! |
: I'm totally doing this.|
HEY MAMAS!
![]() ![]() I think about some of the mamas we haven't seen recently -- anyone heard from Kundalini Mama??? Have a beautiful morning, everyone! ![]() ![]() |
I think about her a lot too.
|
that's a great idea! and i just started doing something like this with my daughter during our bedtime routine. before we go to sleep, we talk about 3 things that made us happy that day. just two days ago, we started adding 3 things that we like about ourselves. and now we are adding people we want to send our love to. my daughter has really taken to this and she is the one who reminds me when i forget. it's a lovely way to fall asleep.

your wish is my command!
I can't remember who asked, but I did it - I got myself a business signature! It was a big leap somehow, paying for that, isn't that funny? See my avatar? It's my logo! My sister designed it for me. ![]() I'm working on the bamboovillage.org site this morning, though I'm no web designer. It's very slow-going and doesn't look too great YET! Any suggestions would be SO warmly welcome. : I'm embarassed to even link to it, but if I don't the time will continue to pass without doing anything.Time for breakfast! |

Ok, I've been stalking darwinphish.
And found this list of intentions from 1-02-07.Oh and I found this! 2-09-07 Wow! How exciting! I'd love to do this with our homeschooling community. Hmmm... Pat |

OK, OK, I'm here!!! I'm going to try and keep up this time! Hopefully with my new burst of energy that won't be such a challenge.
Celeste, I so wish I had the inclination to blog about, well, anything! I can write an essay or journal article like nobody's business but when I try to chronicle day-to-day I just come up blank. It's the same story as trying to keep a journal - tried a couple times and they end up largely blank. I'm in awe of the bloggers of the Universe!Anyway, you can read a bit about what we're doing here: Full Circle Farm I'm actually in the process of getting the website revamped (ideas welcome!) and was thinking of including a blog done by our new garden manager, who blogs his home gardening endeavors beautifully. It's a nonprofit, educational organic farm that's going to be on 11 acres of school land in an urban, largely low-income district in the Bay Area. The land is basically donated to us by the District but the funds for getting started are up to, well... me. I never, ever would have imagined something like this coming to me! It's both an incredible blessing, and more than a tiny bit stressful. I'm trying to keep enjoying it even though there are a lot of complicated steps to making it happen. I'm back to a place where I can TRUST that this will happen with ease. Of course the 100K doesn't hurt. ![]() I'm going to try your exercize, KoalaMama. I DO have the time to stop and appreciate myself! |

I am all over this idea ladies!! I'd really like to hear how yours develop. I think it is so beautiful. IM - I think your Grandma will be proud. Look how her life is impacting us. People she never even knew. That is just so cool.
I posted in one of the other threads about feeling spiritually lonely. But LOOK!! I do have a community. I am grateful that I live in a time that enables this type of connection. You all are getting a bead! My daughters made something similiar at Bible school to help them remember Jesus' story. I'd really like to incorporate parts of that into our gratitude beads. AND if you have a Hobby Lobby close, jewelery making supplies are on sale next week 30% off. Swarvsky crystal beads here I come! |

I was listening to MCAL's boyfriend this morning and he was saying something about the LoA being one of 7 universal laws.
What are the other six? I found these Law of Attraction (LoA): Thoughts Manifest Reality Law of Energy (LoE): Attention Directs Energy. Law of Power (LoP): All Power Originates Within Law of Freedom (LoF): Anything is Possible. Law of Now (LoN): Now Is The Only Time You Can Do Anything. Law of Love (LoL): Love Is Happiness Law of Truth (LoT): Effectiveness Is the Measure of Truth but they aren't the ones he was talking about. Something with polarity. I am fascinated and want to learn more! |

|
Oh! New super cool idea! Anyone want to do a bead swap for a necklace? We could 'charge' the beads with our love and good intentions, and then send them out to anyone interested in participating. Imagine how powerful that would be!!
|
|
Happy Easter Everyone!
My Grand Attraction for the day will be bringing out the . I'm super excited about the holiday. In my late teen years I got to be a real stick-in-the-mud when it came to celebrating "traditional" holidays, but now that I have kids of my own, I'm All Over It.![]() |
: Same here!|
I was thinking of Flylady. I was on her system years ago. The one thing that totally stuck was making my bed. I get up in the morning and I make my bed like clockwork. I don't even have to think about it, I just do it. It's just become automatic. I need to do that with my LOA stuff. I need to link it to something so that it becomes second nature. The problem is that it's hard because I'm not much of a routine/scheduled kind of gal. Waking up and going to sleep are about my only definites ![]() |
It's so interesting hearing what other FLyLady dropouts have been able to keep!|
Question...kids...what can I ask instead of "what's wrong?" I am trying to think of a more positive way to approach them when they are upset. Any thoughts? Off too read more of the thread. Keeping up is challenging. Oh, and I am planning out my treasure map ideas, doing some soul searching. ![]() |
|
I adore your assignments! Will you make one every week?
: I'm totally doing this. |
Sure thing, I'll post a new exercise every week! (Actually, you should see my list waiting for the new site to go up.
)|

We could do something similar. Maybe have everyone purchase x number of glass/stone/handmade beads (like 10), and send them to a single person who distributes them. Or, make duplicates of some inspirational message that we all share with each other. This could be done on-line also. Something like "Manifesting Masters Affirmations" and each have a copy. She typed up the messages in "newletter" format. So that they were not just listed one after the other.
What are your thoughts? |
