Anyone else have trouble sleeping?

And I don't mean from a crying baby, LOL. I mean for those of us still "with child." I woke up at 1:30 last night to pee (of course), but could not fall back asleep for 3 freaking hours! Now I'm exhausted. I'm thinking it's from the excitement of our first baby being so close to coming out.

Anyone else?

I have terrible insomnia. Dp has stayed up with me the past 3 nights playing scrabble. I try to take naps during the day so I wont be completely exhausted if I go into to labor- or I guess I should say 'when' I go into labor

i've been having that every night... being awake from 2 or 3 until 5 or 6... i just read or knit.

I wake up about every 2 hours. I don't even have to pee every time. Recently the pain I have been feeling in my hips is enough!! Hopefully that means our little guy is coming soon!

You ladies make me feel so much better though!

Yes, and it's absolutely miserable!

I go through this too, a couple times a week. (not nightly thank goodness!) What gets me is my achy legs. Not restless, but achy & sore.

I hate PG insomnia I have it in the 1st trimester and then in the last month or so. What is making things worse at the moment is that when ever I am up for more then 1-2 hours in the middle of the night I suffer horrible prodimal labor the next day : ! I hate lying in bed awake !

Same here, but it's more like every 30-45 minutes. It's insane. I feel like my hips are gonna crack. So I wake up whenever I have to switch sides or whenever I need to pee. Sucks.

yes, every night about 2 or 3 to pee and then my brain starts going and I'm up till 5 and usually sleep 1 hour before kids get up, its aweful I'm so tired!

Yup...up every couple of hours to pee and adjust all the pillows I need so that the pain in my hips and shoulders is bearable.:yawning:

ME too!! and lately ctx have been waking me up and I think well if I go back to sleep then it is not the real thing. So far, it is not the real thing...bah! I was up this am from 4-6:30. I just took a nap. I hate thinking that this is robbing me of labor energy. And every eve I think OK just wait to get started till the morning-I want to labor during the day. It just sounds more enjoyable-sun shining, birds singing. Maybe I wouldn't even notice that anyway, but it would be nicer for the MWs and DH.

This sounds like me on the nights when this happens. It starts off innocently enough...just have to use the restroom...but going back into bed the mind starts drifting to our new life that's about to begin. I guess it's too much for my mind to bear, because the next thing I know it's an hour later and I still haven't fallen back asleep.

Thankfully this doesn't happen every night. But when it does...I hate it. I don't function well on little sleep.

I know it sounds funny, but sometimes I too wonder if I might sleep better AFTER the baby arrives.

Then I think...what am I thinking? I will wake up every time it makes the tiniest noise...guaranteed.

Oh, yeah. I totally can't sleep. I have a hard time falling asleep. I stay up until I am ready to drop, so I have a chance of falling asleep sooner rather than later, after I lay down. Then, I wake up every 1 1/2 - 2 hours to pee - it takes forever to get up and out of bed. Of course, since I'm up I have something to drink and snack on - I literally pack a lunch to go to bed! And it takes even longer to get comfortable (if you can call it that!) enough to try to fall back to sleep. Then, as soon as the sun is up (oh, maybe 5 hours after I go to bed in the first place!) I'm awake. But just can't get out of bed, because I'm so tired from "sleeping"!!! :

Some nights I sleep through 5-6 hours and then sleep another 2-4, some nights I'm up every hour.

The nights I'm up every hour are the nights I resist taking antihistamines for the unbearable rash I have.

Actually I sleep like a rock but I wake up frequently to pee and my hips ache horribly in the morning.
Yep- me too!

It seems like I am constantly waking up to pee, roll over (I hate this is hurt so much!), open the window/close the window/take off a blanket/put a blanket on (my temp has been crazy!), and drink water/eat food/take bendryl.

I guess this is pracitice...

Yes. I ache, I can't breath, and I have to pee every hour. (How can this baby be both on my bladder and pushing on my diaphragm at the same time?) Plus, I have a two year old who occasionally crawls over me and wakes me up. Looking forward to one more little on in my bed (even if it doesn't mean more sleep for me).
