I have had 3 or 4 AWFUL headaches in the past 3 weeks.

not normal for me.

I am 9, almost 10 weeks along.

I am a little freaked, i had a bloody nose this morning -- not bad -- but i rarely get them... usally only with bad allergies for a whiel so you know the nose tissue is irrated and raw, YK?

SO i am freak about blood pressure or something.

we have a home BP cuff, i could not find it last night and to be honest bending to look for it in cabents and so on HURT too bad. I will find it.

any othe thoughts?

I usually get bad headaches a couple times a month, but haven't had any truly bad ones since getting pregnant. Keeping my : .

Some things off the top of my head that I think of:

Are you getting enough sleep? I get my worst headaches when I'm exhausted.
Are you drinking enough water/liquids? We are extra susceptible to dehydration when we are pregnant.
Could it be allergy season for you already? Maybe that's causing it.
Are you feeling extra stressed/tense lately?

Have you lowered your caffeine intake? That's what I think mine is from.

Not in you ddc but saw your post. My friend who is pregnant due in June is also having nose bleeds her ob told her it was normal something to do with the capilaries (not sure exactly) I have also had a few minor nose bleeds this pregnancy.
Headaches I agree on the post about caffine intake... and drink lots of water and get lots of rest. I have heard to guidelines 1) 8-8oz glasses a day 2) which is what I am going by take your weight and divide in half and that is how many oz you should be drinking daily. ie 200lbs = 100 oz. I bought a sports bottle with the measurement on it then I only have to count how many times I fill it instead of keeping track of the oz.
Hope this helps..... to you mama.
Oh and I also had a killer headache for two days when our weather severly changed. the low pressure made my head feel like it was in vice grips I just drank my water and cried for two days. It was horrible!

thanks

i will up the water -- though i am pushing it all the time now for nurse-nurse (hurts less if i have a lot of water jennyjo suggested that -- thanks)

I am caffine free -- excwept for what little i happen into in food (like the brownie at church them am) -- no soda or coffee or anything. it was hard but i have been that was since 04 to TTC DS......

Took BP tonight, called mom a nurse and she said it wsa in the excellent range -- but no headache today.

Hi (I'm just peeking in from the April DDC) but I got headaches for a while in my first and second trimesters - and I do think caffiene cut out may have been part of it. Tylonal did not work and my CNM said that I could occasionally have an excedrin migraine - I think I was too afraid to so I never did, but they headaches also mostly subsided after a couple weeks. I have had a few recently - but I think they are allergy related and I was told to take benydril for puppp so that is helping with my headaches as well... I hope you feel beter soon!!

With my first son I had gushing nose bleeds every day, usually several times while I was throwing up every 1-3 hours 24 hours a day.

I also had migraines and terrible headaches with that pregnancy.

Hand in there! {{{HUGS}}}

I'm so sorry to hear about your headaches.
I have had migraines for years, and have had 2 in the past week. Pretty miserable when you can't take anything, and honestly nothing has helped me eliminate the headaches, but here are some things that make them more bearable:
1) talk to your midwife/ family doc--you might have a sinus infection, sinus inflamation from allergies, or another condition (on-pregnancy) that is cuasing your headaches--and you need to know if that's the case--it might be something that can be treated/ needs to be treated
2) it sounds like you do not drink caffine, so you probably do not have withdrawel, that being said a little bit of caf. can make some headaches go away, my m/w suggest half a cup of strong coffee [caf. always helps my migraines if I drink it when I first feel the headache
3) I've had my partner rub my temples/ back of my head, which helps
4) warm bath w/ relaxing music and visualizing the headache leaving
5) eating protein

My headaches are triggered by many things, including hormones, too much sun, and changes in weather--I have found that keeping a headache journal to find the cause helps because sometimes the cause can be avoided, and even if not, it just helps to know why things are happening.

Best of luck!
