first appt

Well, I had my first appt with the CNM today. She is really great. My uterus is measuring 6 weeks ahead but she says that is normal for moms who have had multiple pregnancies. She scheduled an u/s for the 23rd to verify due date and how many there are. : The uterus thing is making me dizzy. I am just dying to know how many there are. I thought only 1 but the uterus measurements threw me for a loop. :

What about all of you, has anyone else gone yet?

I've only gone for "pregnancy confirmation". I have another appointment on April 16th for my formal "1st appt". I asked if they would do an u/s and they said if the doctor thinks it's necessary, but they may not. With the spotting I'm having, I'd REALLY like to see a heartbeat...
I'm not crazy about this particular practice, and can't wait to switch my care to the birth center once I move in June.

P.S. I don't know anything about you measuring ahead, but I'm curious too!

Mine isn't until the 30th @ almost 8 weeks. But I have been on the phone with my midwife and have had bloodwork already, just no appointment.

Mine also isn't until 8 weeks (8w3d exactly), on May 5th. I had some bloodwork done last month (rubella titre and toxoplasmosis screen) and will be having blood taken for anything else the mw needs when she comes to see me in May.

Well, I couldn't wait until 7 weeks. I broke down and scheduled an appt. for next week.

I have an u/s that was scheduled by my RE on April 17 and by coincidence the midwife booked me for that afternoon. So that should be a fun day. I haven't told my RE yet that I won't be continuing prenatal care with him. I may try to cancel my appt in May and just fall under the radar.

Heidi I'll be really interested to hear about your u/s!
