Kinda Crampy and Tingly

I feel like my uterus is tightening a bit like a Braxton Hicks.. it's tingly and tight. And I was slightly crampy during and after the trip to the grocery store.

Is it just a need to increase water and rest? I felt dry at the store and I am EXHAUSTED. Any thoughts?

It's not a miscarriage kind of cramping at this point, but it still worries me that it MIGHT be. It's a little more fierce than the crampies I get in the first few weeks. Those went away maybe a week ago.

Not really sure. I guess I'd just try and take it easy and drink extra water and perhaps some pregnancy tea.

I laid down for about an hour after slugging back three glasses of water. So far so good, I actually still feel pretty lousy, but the tightening is gone and the cramping seems to be gone.

I had to pick up my kids from school but mom's here, so I am going back to bed for another hour before baseball practice.

No rest for the weary! MIL is coming over tonight and if I cannot get back to feeling somewhat human, tonight will be the night she finds out about the baby. I hope not. I might lunge for her throat if she doesn't say something nice and cheery. She is almost never nice and cheery.

Cramping is back now that I am up and around again. *sigh*

Like I said, heading back to nap.

Hope your feeling better soon

Sounds like rest is the key, however hard to come by...L

I hope you start feeling better soon!

I've gone through this the last two times I was pg. I think it's dehydration and too much activity in my case. I feel like that today but I know it's because I've been all over town today. I'm trying to get up the momentum to exercise tonight but I may just take it easy!

I am having some round ligament pain it seems, but I think the crampy is gone and the tightness is definitely gone. I laid down for up to two hours today and am still pounding away at some water.

Fat chance getting tons of rest time with all the running around I do, but I can definitely drink more water and lie down for a few minutes each day. Unfortunately I have to work in my son's classroom from 8:30-12:00 tomorrow. Can you say, morning sickness??

I can fully understand your feelings and the stress it causes. I feel the tingly crampy feeling often. With my ds I had braxton hicks contractions throughout the pregnancy, but they did no cervical dilation. My midwife said that she thinks I can feel my body better than most and that contractions like this are normal, but that most people can't feel them. She did tell me to take it easy just in case and ended up suggesting I stop working. I made the sacrifice and left work. Take it easy. The ones I was told to worry about after 15 weeks were the ones that made my uterus hard and if it happened more than 6 times in one hour. I still have them with this pregnancy but am more relaxed about it. I have chosen to trust my body.

I can totally relate. With my first it terrified me! I feel every contraction, kinda like doing situps and feeling the burn.

Thanks everyone. I do think I feel more than most about my body -- I had an acupuncturist tell me that too. I'd been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and she doesn't believe in the diagnosis but believes I carry stress and feel it in my body instead of ignoring or releasing. She also felt I was pretty intuitive about my body. As nice as that sounds I sometimes get confused between intuitiveness and just polain anxiety over things.

At any rate, I feel good today compared to the past two days. I wonder if it's the Morning Sickness Magic I am trying or if I am just lucky. This is where the anxiety kicks in that I shouldn't feel good at all and something's wrong.

But the m/s hasn't disappeared altogether, it's just under control. And I am still pretty exhausted. I just need to take a DEEP BREATH!
