Considering EC with a 13 month old boy

Any tips? He hates to be wet or dirty and is pretty consistent with BMs, just not pee. This is very new to me, but I'm intrigued and ready to try. Should I go with a toddler potty? Any help is greatly appreciated!

How is he with giving you signals? Do you think he's aware of his need to eliminate? He is on the older side to start EC, but it's definitely not too late. You might want to pick up Laurie Boucke or Ingrid Bauer's books. Ingrid Bauer's book has a new edition from August 2006.
My DS is the same age, and pees are really hard to catch still. Poos are rarely done in his diaper.
I don't know about the potty thing. DS doesn't like the BBLP right now. He will only poo being held over the toilet, and he only pees standing up into a small bucket or into bottles while he's nursing. It might be worth grabbing a potty, though.
