Coming out of Lurkdom....

Hello, ladies!

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Karen, a 39 yo SAHM to 5 wonderful DC, expecting #6 sometime around Nov. 14. I am a clergy spouse to Brian, who is an Episcopal priest. We currently reside in Davenport, IA, having spent the past 3 years in Ambridge, PA (metro Pittsburgh) in seminary. I homeschooled the older 3 while we were in PA, but they are back in school now.

We EBF, CD, and BW and occasionally co-sleep. I have tandem nursed DC 3 & 4, and may well be, again, with # 5 & 6, as my 2 yo shows no sign on slowing down.

We thought that we were done, but an unexpected pg and subsequent loss in Nov. convinced us that we just weren't quite done yet.


I am looking forward to getting to know you lovely ladies during our journey together!

I'm Celeste, SAHM to 5 little ones myself. We do homeschool and live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. I am a doula, also.

As far as AP I'm a little soggier in practice than theory, but moreso due to uncontrollable circumstances. I BF but had a reduction and cannot output enough even for a newborn, so it's comfort only (i.e. still round the clock for nearly a year and a half LOL) . This time around we're going to get donated breastmilk so I'm verrrrry excited about that!! I did CD last time until I nearly had a breakdown with PPD and had to do what I could to get back on my feet. I BW and co-sleep.

We knew we wanted more children...but I was hoping for just a little hiatus from the childbearing for a little while, so while I definitely want all to turn out well now, I'm thinking it'll be a *really* long time before the next one, if at all at this point.
