My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
Ahem. I just had to get that out. I know it is ridiculous to buy diapers now, 7+ months before baby will be here, when we do not have any money for such things anyway. But darn, I just want to have some tiny diapers here to look at!
ME TOO!!!!! and there's even a brand new cloth diaper store right beside our midwives offices, and if we didn't run out of time, i would have ran right over there LOL. this is the very first cloth diaper store in our city.. how exciting to not have to order everything online this time! i think they even have a decent selection
I don't think there's anything wrong w/ buying diapers now. Heck, before I even *got* pg w/ DD, I was buying NB dipes. I didn't even know when I would be pg again.
I say if you have the finances, go ahead. You know you'll be using them : Now if the $$ is just not there, you're gonna have to wait, mama, sorry

I wish we had a cloth diaper store somewhere around here! We used to have one abour 2 1/2 hours away but they moved to another Province (I can still order from them online though...) but it would be great to be able to go into a store and buy...but then again maybe I would buy too much! LOL
My thinking is that it will seem cheaper to buy little bits at a time rather than buying a whole stash at once. I've been perusing the Trading Post since I found out I was pregnant.
Actually as soon as I get an all clear OB visit I'm going to start buying. We need to buy over time to divide the cost. My big buy will be a $250 package from sunshine diapers (get to use 3 months then return for $160 credit) but I'll also be adding some prefolds a few more covers and a couple extras just for fun
I bought three dozen bumgenius 1.0s in November after DP gave me the green light on TTC. And while TTC, I became convinced that I would need something smaller for the NB stage - despite the fact that bG fit from 6 lbs up and DD was 9.5! Sooo, I bought a couple dozen indian prefolds and 6 Thirsties covers in the CUTEST colors.
I had some extra money then, but slimmer times are on the way because after the baby is born, DP will be going back to school and I will still be going part-time, too. I am actually set on all the baby stuff now since I started accumulating in November. I don't know what the heck I'm going to do for the rest of my pregnancy - it's hard to stop shopping!
I planned to start buying soon but then I think I should save up and buy most after the baby is born since we won't know what the babe's sex is until then and it would be nice to have cute prints for the coorect gender.
Till then i need to decide on some brands and get some neutrals to get started!
I bought the bumgenius 1.0s from Cottonbabies just before the 2.0s came out, so I got a good deal (maybe $12 per diaper). They came with the inserts and I bought doublers (seconds) for 1.50 for three.
DP and I did the math and we are saving at least 2500 dollars by buying things on sale and not using disposables. The prefolds were pretty cheap, too also from Cottonbabies, and the Thirsties covers were 6.50 each.
I say "go for it!" I started buying and making cloth back in September when we started TTC. I currently have 4 or 5 VB NB AIO's that I made, 4 Wonderworks NB AIO's I got on Ebay new for cheap, and 4 Darling Diapers NB AIO's I made. I'll be making 2 more Darling Diapers, and probably 10 or so more VB's and then I'll move onto the small diapers. I've got a full stash of AIO's in medium and large.
I know the feeling. I have actually ordered some of the Jango dipes through the coop, and I got some Larges for DD and some Smalls and Mediums for Sprig. I'm sooo excited about getting them, it's quite ridiculous.
