had our first midwife appointment today, with a new midwife.. and first, i love her! she's so awesome!! our former midwife moved away, and while i liked her, i wasn't upset to try some one new, if you know what i mean LOL. this new one is so much warmer, more personable than our last one. i felt an instant connection with her, whereas with our last midwife, i felt like i was still trying to get to know her at 34 weeks.

anyways, i'm only 9 wks along, and i didn't even think that the midwife would try to find the heartbeat, but she did, and we found it! we'd hear 2-3 beats at a time, and then we'd sort of lose it, and then find it again for a few more beats. very reassuring! makes everything feel so much more real to me.
anyways, wanted to let y'all know about our awesome afternoon
