Heartbeat?

In my first pregnancy I heard the heart beat at 8.5 weeks, much to my surprise. I went in for my appointment today, at a little past 9 weeks, and no heartbeat. I feel a total let down.

What is normal? When did you first hear yours?

They say 8-10 weeks, but my midwife doesn't usually try before 12 weeks. I heard heatbeat by 14 weeks with both girls, but I am little on the fluffy side. (or a lot 260 with dd1 and 220 with dd2, 195 this time...so it will probaby be the same before I hear my new bubs heat beat)

It was more like 12 weeks for me. I'm kind of chubby so I think it might be harder, but I'm not sure. It's a pretty tiny little heart in there, so I think it is hard to find!!

I don't think I ever heard any of my children's heartbeats (3) before 12 weeks.

My FP told me today that they can usually start picking it up by 9.5 weeks at the earliest.
